Isaac the Fiddler.
WiP - Fiedla - Pt 1 Wig
Finally back to a doll I can work on, for now only a head but I missed making wigs and painting heads so much. Of course I wanted to work on the wig immediately but curing times are a thing.
So after I prepped the wigcap and the wefts and a lot of waiting time was over I was able to start glueing the wefts onto the cap.
As the day was quite warm the wefts dried rather quickly and I was able to brush them out a few hours later.
Which allowed me to trim the wig and give it its final styling.
His hair situation is still super weird to me but I think I got it somehow.
I am shelling his human form as I still refuse to make those white outfits for my Noah dolls. But I will give him at least a somewhat human blush once I work on the face up.
Why are only some character names in Fiddler Yiddish-ized and some aren’t? Like why is it Lazer Wolf and not Lazer-Volf. Why is it is Fruma Sarah and not Fruma-Soreh
i have a very stupid dilemma
Who would win in a musical duel between Nicolò Paganini and Jonny the Fiddler?
Let me explain
The question was born from another question : What's the difference between a fiddle and a violin?
Answer : None! They are the same instrument but the cultural setting and music played on it are just so very different that it created different names!
There is one thing however they have in common culturally tho, both of them have stories involving the devil
In one we have Paganini who was said by superstitius stories to have sold his soul to the devil to be able to play the violin as he does
On the other we have the folk tale of Johnny the Fiddler who went down in Georgia and met the devil and beat it in a competition on who was the best musician.
Now let's say that there is a setting where Jonny and Paganini meet and they have to compete to be the best player.
Sure Jonny already beat the devil, however by the rumors Paganini sold his soul to be the *best* violinist, which to be the best would include being better then the devil himself so that would put them on equal levels
However Johnny beat the devil without needing any supernatural support so it's completely possible that his skills out match anything that has been touched by the devil
But still, Paganini is *the best* as by virtue power that be that granted him this power so that could include Johnny.
It's a paradox!
