Personal headcanon
basically, I think that Mango’s birthplace is just the extreme south of Florida.
BUT allow me to explain. Y’see…

Mango and Brash are both alligators. However, the only other member of that family was Daryl, who was a crocodile. Daryl, I personally believe was a purebred croc, and had that chin and head shape to prove it. Brash is a purebred alligator and has the phenotypes. You see where this is going?
The only few places in the world that I can remember both crocodiles and alligators sharing the same territory is in the southern areas of Florida and upper South America. Mango is a cross between a croc and a gator. I personally like to think Mango’s parents live in the Everglades, probably in a giant hut that looks like a bunch of blocks stuck together for the rooms.
Also, I personally headcanon Mango being the youngest of five siblings, since he is quite childish in the books.
