When I was younger, my impressionable mind absorbed the idea that J.K. Rowling was the most evil, bitchy, old hag in the whole world as I blindly followed the trans rights movement. As I got just a bit older, I simply.. developed critical thinking skills? It didn’t take much for me to sit down, genuinely try to read and understand what she was saying, to think - “wait a minute, where is she wrong here? why is everyone acting like she killed someone?” I scrolled and scrolled through some more tweets and could find no reason as to why she’s so much more notorious and hated than actual male murderers, rapists, abusers— or, you know, the people actually killing trans people? No trans identifying person has ever died at the hands of a radical feminist, yet, of course, all the focus and blame falls on women. The jokes write themselves.

There are so many “certified man hater” liberal feminists out there who will immediately go to coddling grown men as soon as they pout a little. I genuinely believe this is part of the reason mainstream feminism isn’t really taken seriously, and it’s also why 4B was more of a trend than a movement in the west. After all these “I pick bear”, “men men men”, “I hate men” trends, at the end of the day they still all centre men. It’s just a cute n quirky girlboss label for them.

I mean, really, what was the point of adding “as a certified man hater” at the beginning of this sentence? Just say you feel bad for him. The video had nothing to do with gender.

Tbh one of my frustrations that come with being a radical feminist is that you really can’t be open about it in real life. Other leftists will label you a “feminazi”, but then the other crowd you’re left with are right-wing conservatives who are often actual nazis and don’t give two genuine fucks about women’s rights.

This “most empathic gender btw” line is so overused and never made sense to me. Even if all women suddenly became extremely cold and un-empathetic, so what? Where has being caring, nurturing, and empathic got us after thousands of years? After women’s physical and mental “weakness” was taken advantage of for so long, it’s about fucking time. At this point being “the bigger person” is a manipulation tactic. Why is it a moral duty for us to be empathic while men are raping, abusing, and killing women EVERY DAY? It’s happening somewhere at this very moment but you’re whining because your feelings got hurt? Go suck a dick.
