This tofu dish with Persian influences blends warm spices like cumin and cinnamon with the subtle flavors of pistachios and raisins to create a delightfully aromatic and filling supper.
Ingredients: 1 block tofu, drained and cubed. 1/4 cup shelled pistachios, chopped. 1/4 cup raisins. 2 tablespoons olive oil. 2 cloves garlic, minced. 1 teaspoon ground cumin. 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon. Salt and pepper to taste. Fresh parsley for garnish.
Instructions: Heat the olive oil in a big skillet over medium heat. Garlic powder should be added and sauted until aromatic. When the cubed tofu is golden brown on all sides, add it to the skillet. Coat the tofu evenly by sprinkling it with ground cumin, ground cinnamon, salt, and pepper. Stir. Stir together the chopped pistachios and raisins in the skillet. Cook for a further two to three minutes, or until the raisins are plump and the pistachios are lightly toasted. Before serving, garnish with fresh parsley. Savor the Persianized tofu paired with raisins and pistachios!
