I've been thinking about this comic in particular for two weeks.
Tom Cochrane - Life Is A Highway (Official Video) NOTHING BEATS THE ORIGINAL
Tom Cochran is on stage all lit up with red lights. He gives a shout out to 409 squadron at the base. He shouts "we live in the best democracy in the world!!" And that's it. We have reached peak Canadiana. Two songs in. He'd have to bring the stanley cup and the entire maple leafs roster on stage for big leagues to beat this.

Guessing from the hit songs contained in this composite, this is from sometime in 1978. Some of our visitors may be from the Indianapois area and recognize the news stories, and be able to nail down a more…

Tom Cochrane - Life Is A Highway (by emimusic) For my money this is the one-hit wonder ear-worm that wins the points. I get this freaking song stuck in my freaking head about once a freaking week for like my whole entire life, post-'92. I don't hate it or anything, I think it is perfectly fun & fine, so I shouldn't grumble.
Cochran's piece is not only provocative, but eloquent -- making one realize how pedestrian so much of the text that passes as "thought leadership" really is. Great ideas simply cannot be expressed by plain language; they require equally powerful articulation to really live and breathe. Making this a very big "Note to Self" ...
Great quote from Cochran: "In order to survive the digital hunger games, media companies must acknowledge that they are data-driven technology companies. The product will always be insightful content, but the delivery methods require ever-evolving emerging technologies."
There was a distance between you and I, A misunderstanding once, But now we look it in the eye.
