Ok so I think the reason why there’s the j+t carved in the cabin is bc, my theory is that Trevor and Derek got a custom-vr simulation just for the contestants. AND the original vr would have stopped at a certain time like for ex: 1 week, but in reality they would’ve been out for like a few hours. I think that explains that for that.
