Chasing Cassandra by Lisa Kleypas (Tom and Cassandra)
Chasing Cassandra by Lisa Kleypas
(Note: I really wanted to do a crackship for Kleypas' newest novel, but found myself drawn to the characters in her yet to be written/released work. As emotionally unavailable as Severin seems to be, I can't wait to watch him fall for Cassandra. I'm betting on some major angst as he learns how to let himself feel.)
Duncan West/Tom Severin, the ultimate self-made man couple
LMAOOO. Look, I love and respect both of them, but...nope, nope, nope.
Severin wouldn't understand Duncan's attachment to Cynthia and desire to protect her from anything, including the truth. He'd also find Duncan's remorse for some of the things he had to do/his papers did to people (like the caricature of Georgiana) to be useless and stupid. Duncan for his part, would find Severin's entire person baffling. They would just not understand each other.
They would definitely resoect each other, probably even be cordial to each other, but nothing more.
