Tom Kaulitz, friends with a couple of the school's biggest assholes, takes part in hazing and bullying one Bill Trümper, a quiet student who seems to simply take the abuse in apathy. Always with his head down, silent but very aware of his surroundings, Bill finds himself mournfully haunted by the worst of the past few years.

When an incident of harassment turns violent, Tom is left alone at the scene of an accident with an unconscious Bill and has to take responsibility. Bill awakes with a case of amnesia, unable to remember the past he longed to forget and Tom along with it. Stuck both by guilt and by school orders, Tom has to help Bill get back into the swing of things.

But Tom has his own life to figure out, and it starts to unravel as he helps Bill search for his identity, and, in turn, his own.

Bill Trumper's best friend Tom Kaulitz is the envy of all straight men, getting it with countless pretty girls whenever he wants with no strings attached. Bad news for Bill, who knows the best course is to keep his crush hidden to preserve their friendship. One day Tom blows Bill's solidly-rooted notions out of the water with a confession that leaves him more confused than anything. Before Bill realizes, he's tangled up in a dangerous love game with his best friend where only one thing is certain...someone's getting hurt.

They were on different sides of the same war; one by force, the other by choice. Tom had been forced into an argument which he wanted no part of, while all Bill wanted was to be treated equally. However, once the pair met, things began to change. Bill was everything which Tom had been forced to hate, so why was it becoming harder for him to continue living the lies? He begins to find himself drawn to the boy, despite everything he’s been made to believe. Not everyone approves though; for some people, hatred runs deeper than love.

Bill has always been ambitious about love. He’s ready to do what it takes in order to be with the one he’s meant to spend his life with, while Tom, his roommate, would much rather stick with his one night stands, thank you very much. But when Bill makes the decision to get a Timer, which is essentially a true love homing device, implanted in his wrist, Tom isn’t the only one who has something to say about his decision.

The apparent disapproval is cause for activation of Bill’s trademark stubbornness, and Tom’s increasing lack of input is cause for alarm. But one way or another, Bill’s eyes will be opened. 

Whether or not the Timer proves to have been necessary, however, is yet to be seen.
