1. Who is your favourite character of all time?
Dobby. Don't you DARE laugh, Dobby is a fantastic character who loved socks and did the right thing time and again. And he basically got to live out his dream of helping Harry Potter. Who can hate that?
2. If you could be invisible for a day, what would yo do?
Probably nothing different. I don't have enough interesting things I could do whilst invisible.
3. What game have you spent more hours than are healthy playing?
Let me tell you about Harvest Moon...
I got my first Harvest Moon game for Christmas when I was like 9, and from there it's been a massive obsession. I've started to fall out with it now that I don't have QUITE as much time to game, but as I settle into life a little more, I miss it more and more. I used to use up reams of paper printing off guides to what every character liked as gifts, everyone's birthdays, the different events, how to get married, all the animal guides... I was convinced I could grow up and be a farmer.
(I am a little Asian lady with occasionally incapacitating hay fever.)
4. Do you ever just sit and watch the rain?
No, but I do lay and bed and listen to it. I've moved to the Seattle area recently (at what point can I stop saying recently?), and so I do this a lot now.
5. If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be?
Someplace with normal days. Dark and dreary day after day grates on my nerves and sanity, and here in Washington winter makes the days A LOT shorter. I think I'd like to move back home to California for the sunshine. Or maybe Canada for the Everything Good About Canada, but that doesn't really solve my winter problems.
6. Tell me a random fact about yourself.
Sometimes I only eat two meals a day. It's not out of an anorexic thing (though I did used to be mildly anorexic in high school), it's that I fall asleep for a nap sometimes and forget to eat.
7. Why did you join tumblr?
A friend of mine said I should (and promptly abandoned her blog).
8. If you could be in a tv show what show would it be and why?
Get me on The Crazy Ones. I want to meet Robin Williams.
9. What’s your favourite scary movie?
I loved Silence of the Lambs.
10. What did you dream about last night?
I HAD THE WEIRDEST DREAM LAST NIGHT OK LET ME TELL YOU
My boyfriend lives in Santa Barbara for school, right, and now I'm in Washington so that's really really far apart and stuff. I had a dream that this band I like (Slugger O'Toole) was playing in Santa Barbara for St. Patrick's day because St. Patrick's Day is in January now I guess?¿?¿? anyway I begged him to go see them and get me a CD and say hi to the band guys for me and he didn't reply to my message
So I did the obviously completely rational thing of learning to teleport so I could go there myself
and we met up at the concert because he's a good lad and was doing what I asked him to and for some reason the school was a giant-ass treehouse and the concert was really hard to get a seat to because branches and stuff, so we just kinda stood on the trunk for a bit and listened.
Then we went to go get my CD and discovered that the only CD on sale was Slugger O'Toole (who, for reference, is an "Irish hooley" kind of band) covering the songs of Aladdin.
Yup.
11. If you were a superhero would you use your powers for good or evil?
If I had superpowers, I would probably use them for menial things like taking people's packages and hand delivering them to other states since I can fly/teleport/whatever. I'd probably make a hell of a lot of money that way.

1. Since Christmas is coming up, what is on your Christmas list? (Be as selfish as possible)
Hmm. As selfish as possible? Beyond: Two Souls, a TON of books off my Amazon wishlist, a nice warm jacket that's not made of wool (because I am allergic to wool), really awesome sticky buns, for my skin to clear up, a day where the sun doesn't go down at 4 o'clock, and for my puppy to stop scratching her face.
2. Out of the entire year of 2013, what would you say is the most memorable event that happened with you?
I finished NaNoWriMo for the first time. I've been doing it almost yearly for six or seven years and even though I hit the 50k goal, I'm not done with the story. But it's 50k more words than I had earlier this year!
3. If you could have any item in the world, real or fake, what would it be and why?
Did anyone ever see that movie Clockstoppers? I want the watch. It doesn't STOP time, but it does speed you up to a point where time around you slows to the point of almost stopping.
4. What was the biggest lie you’ve told?
This mostly started as a joke and is not by far the WORST lie I've told, but it's the biggest because it lasted an entire school year. I once told my women in literature class that I am Chinese (which is true, my mom is Chinese and my dad is Caucasian so I'm very pale despite "looking Oriental"), and they assumed I spoke Chinese as my first language and not English. I never corrected them, so I never got called on all year and they all were STUNNED when I got up at the end of term to give the final presentation in a perfect, flawless, (fake) English accent.
I doubt any of them remember me, since I left college very soon after that.
5. What kind of hobbies do you have?
I use my hands a lot. I like reading and writing, drawing, cooking, playing games, petting my dog. I used to knit a lot, but I had carpal tunnel in my dominant hand really bad for a year so I got rid of all my knitting stuff.
6. Favorite food and drink?
I LOVE pancakes. I. Love. Pancakes. Love 'em. Crepes, Swedish cakes, Dutch puffs, if they've been called pancakes I've probably enjoyed them. I also have a long-standing love for apple juice. I used to drink it mostly when I got really stressed around finals, but now I just drink it whenever.
7. Do you believe in ghosts? Any stories?
My mom travels for work and I used to go with her when I was really really little, I went on something like 10 plane rides before I was 6 months old. Once when I was like 4 or something we went to visit her friends in Colorado (I think?) and we stayed with them for a night or two. They warned us about a friendly ghost named Peanut Butter who lived in the basement and liked to bang on the pipes. Apparently I got out of bed in the middle of the night to go join him.
I have no idea whether or not my mom made this up.
8. Any problems in your life at the moment?
I am having massive issues adjusting to life in Washington state. I moved up from California, so I'm used to sun even when I'm inside. (I don't go out much.) Where we live now, the sun starts going down at around 3:30. It's throwing my biological clock for a MASSIVE loop, I'm having trouble staying awake during the day and I can't get much of anything done. My puppy's not adjusting well either: she's not used to the cold. We had to get her sweaters.
9. If you could do one thing before the year is over, what would you want to do?
Um um um I want to go visit Ireland and Scotland and Italy and Germany and basically all of Europe. I've been to France once for two weeks in the summer and it was lovely, but I'd love to go and really take my time. Sadly, traveling is expensive and I am but a peasant with a laptop and a dog.
10. I’m curious as to what makes you, you. So what are some things you do that sets you apart from others?
I make it a point to write every day, even if it's just a paragraph. It is the ONLY skill I treat this way (I used to do it for drawing, but then I got carpal tunnel and now I'm scared to overwork my wrist again :P), and I think it shows. Hilariously, although I think and (depending on who I'm around) speak in incredibly colorful strings of language, swearing will rarely come through in my creative writing. All bets are off on personal things.
11. And finally, do you enjoy following me?
I do! I can't remember how/what exactly led me to you, but I'm glad it did.

10. You can upgrade any one piece of technology in your house. What do you choose? Why?
11. What are you asking Santa/Jingle/your parents/the void of existential nothingness for this year?
To tomaemylock: yeah, we don't really do much except parades and football games with my band, it's super young so we don't have enough people or the resources really to do field shows or anything like that. So the majority of our season is done, we have a couple more football games and a parade in late November. It was enough already that it was time my flute get cleaned haha. Yay oboes!!!
sorry, too lazy to tag back or think up questions. Next time I promise I will!!
1.I say Hillshire, you say _____!
- “I don’t understand that reference”
2.Dream house?
- One with wifi, obviously. I honestly don’t know. As long as I had an en suite bathroom, huge couch, circular bed, and a black wall filled with glow stars, I think I’d be good (of course I’d need the other essentials but you know what I mean)
3.If you had one wish, what would it be? (Can’t wish for more wishes!)
- I’d wish I was born a dude. Or that I could be one now.
4.What song do you listen to when you’re angry?
- ummmmm. Huh. I don’t really get angry that often but I think I’d listen to something sung by Skillet or Breaking Benjamin when in those moods.
5.What just drives you up the wall?
- when my parents don’t believe me when I tell them I seriously think I have social anxiety (“just take a pill and get over it” - mom)
6.If you had to morph two animals together, what animals would you choose and what would it be called?
- I’d morph an elephant with a squirrel. The only ant-like quality it would have would be its size, so I could have a miniature elephant. It would be irrelephant.
7.If you were to choose one movie to live in, what would it be?
- the Avengers. Then I could at least hope that one day I could possibly meet Bruce Banner.
8.Favorite movie?
-The Avengers or Iron Man 3.
9.Favorite book?
- why do people keep asking book questions.
10.What’s the weirdest dream you’ve ever had?
- Oh my god it would take 3 years but basically the gist of it is Dean Winchester went the whole dream without pats, Castiel knocked over one of those marine life touch pools you see in zoos (sometimes?), and in the end the iCarly cast and my friend’s mother started walking out wearing weird clothing. Also Dean was hiding in a closet with monks.
11.And because this is the last question, tell us a turn on!
- I don’t know. But on a completely opposite note, for some reason piercings in places other than the ear freak me out. Maybe because of the thought of like it getting caught on something then ripped out? Yeah, uuuurgh. :(
