Imagining Billy, a boy who has been stuck in time due to a weird time leak that was never quite patched up right in Fawcett, exploring the rest of the world as a hero and just getting so many odd looks at what he says. He says such dated things that make someone go 'What? No, that was outlawed in XXXX....' or 'That law was introduced before I was born?' and he is just scratching the back of his head like Huh..... The outside world is wild... No wonder no one leaves our lil shithole

“is that—” Martha Kent points over at Billy, who is climbing up onto the tractor. “—safe?”

“I know how to drive one, ma’am!” Billy calls out, grinning wide as he finally settles on the seat. Martha visibly relaxes, nodding her head as she steps back.

“Well, don’t let me be a nuisance, just don’t go crashing or running over things, ‘ya hear?”

“Got it, Mrs. Kent!”

“Is it safe?” Hal asks. Clark looks over at him, the rest of the group watching Billy.

“You watched him pilot a plane as you writhed on the floor in agony.”

Hal shut his mouth. “Touché.”

The tractor sputtered to life, the sound almost deafening. Clark covered his ears, Bruce beside him doing the same.

“When did he grab the keys?” Bruce asks, watching as Billy starts to reverse, jostling around on the tractor seat. “Doesn’t your dad usually keep them on his person?”

“Yep,” Clark replied, popping the ‘P’.

“Hm.”

“Mhm.”

billy is walking down the road when a powerful gust of wind threatens to push him over. he straightens up once it passes, and ducks down to check his hair in a nearby car mirror. he stops as soon as he pushes his hair back, because have his eyes always looked like that? glassy, cloudy... why is there a star shape outlined in his pupils? has the lightning from the transformations really taken so much?

There's had to been a day where Billy transforms in an alley where a few stray animals are scavenging n fucking makes their fur stick up on end. They run off, terrified by the abrupt lightning, and random onlookers from down the road just see a bolt of lightning, a red blur fly across the sky, n three singed cats running while screaming like no tomorrow.

The people of Fawcett probably think some weird animal torturer is on the loose, or that the electrical lines are playing up, but no, it's just their local hero calling the wizards name in the most desolate places.

Someone sends a letter to whiz radio asking Billy to tell Cap to Please Be Careful Of Where You Call For Lightning, These Cats Only Got So Many Lives. It's embarrassing. It's humiliating. He cannot let the Justice League find out about this.

Kind of scary to think of how much magic billy has coursing through him at every second. He may not be able to use it well, if at all when he's powered down, but it's still there, and it's fascinating to think about it. His staple is literally being the homing beacon for a lightning bolt, able to then shoot it out from the tips of his fingers and strike whoever. The image of a tween turning in a man at the shout of a magic word who fumbles with bigger hands and gets excited over the fact he can bypass the legal age limit of things is hilarious, but remembering the powers of the gods that were instilled in him is no less than terrifying. especially when he's not used to his new magical form, he's practically a ticking magic bomb.
