Melanie stifled a yawn with the back of her hand, eyes wandering at all the figures of people passing by the large cafe window. The blonde was sitting on a stool at the bench type counter with a mug of tea warming her hands while waiting. Tom was busy lately, running through rehearsals for Coriolanus which had left her a bit more lonely since they'd moved back to London. It was nice though his sisters were around to help her or answer any baby questions she had, and it also meant Melanie could spend time with Tom's mum. It was all lovely really and they'd easily made her feel at home. Being five months along now was certainly taking its toll on her. So it was nice to get out of the flat, wander about the city a bit.
Today though was a different change. Tom and her finally settled on an obgyn that his sister had referred them to and they were on their way. It seemed like an age that Melanie sat there waiting for Tom to meet her at the cafe. Granted she was early mainly because the shopping for the nursery was tiring her out and her feet were killing her. So it was only a rather logical choice to go get some tea and wait. She'd been working her way through one of Tom's books, face buried into it with one hand rubbing her swollen stomach. When Tom did finally show up she wasn't looking out the window for him anymore but was instead her eyes were busy sweeping up the words on the page. Melanie didn't notice when he was behind her until his hand pressed to the small of her back.
"Oh. There you are. You're late." Her large marine coloured eyes lifted up from the pages to meet his blue eyes and wide smile. "I can forgive you though. If you give me a kiss mon chere."
