Tommy Davis the 1962 (.346) and 1963 (.326) batting champ. Career of .294/153/1,052 RBI's. A baseball career with the lone season of Seattle Pilots. Was recruited by Jackie Robinson to sign with the Dodgers. As a Dodger(1959-1966) Davis was a 1963 world series champ, finished 2nd in MVP voting (losing only to Maury Wills), Rookie Year All Star, and remains the only Dodger with multiple batting titles. He would later be traded to the Mets and bounced around the league after that remainingthe great slugger that he was never boast for attention but earning it amongst those watching.
Got to meet him once in Arizona in 2009 when the Dodgers played the D'backs he was wearing a Jackie Robinson jersey so it took me a minute to realize who he was but he chatted and enjoyed everyone's company.
