Tale as old as time, the top/bottom argument. Now I'm personally camp Sonny top Tom bottom BUT Tom power bottom for sure.

The Lucy Mancini chapter is um…Questionable in many ways but I do appreciate how she immediately assume that Tom Hagen would understand her love for Sonny because they themselves were so close...

(It is a little bit hilarious since her relationship with Sonny was canonically purely physical so she's basically like "You can understand me because Sonny was your best friend who saved your life as a child and he dicked me down so good" which are…Kinda very different relationships but eh, I still appreciated it and it's not like this chapter makes that much sense in general)

I've been watching Godfather I over and over the past week, and Godfather II, in the background as I cook and eat, and what I noticed is that ever SINCE the moment Sonny died, it was like something was permanently broken in Tom that left him in a fragile state. Tom cried when he was told Vito died, then he recovered, and argued with Sonny a lot, robustly, he didn't do that afterwards with Michael, he was no longer sure he belonged there after Sonny died.

Oh totally!!!!! Romantic or otherwise, Tom and Sonny had such a strong connection. Sonny was the one who saved Tom’s life and brought him home after all. He was so changed after Sonny died and I think Michael could tell

Whether Sonny and Tom are sleeping together or not, I think it's indisputable that Tom is at the very least, Sonny's "work spouse" -- the body language...Tom putting his coat away and Sonny grabbing his arm with one hand and rubbing his shoulder with the other. The way Sonny realise he has gone too far after saying he wish he had a real wartime consigliere without Tom having to say anything.

THANK YOU!!! YES!!!!!!! Tom is Sonny’s Work Wife we all no this but no one will admit it. Just the way they talk and act around each other *chefs kiss*

Does Tom speak any Irish or German? Does Sonny? Terms of endearments or swearwords at least.

I don’t see why they would. Loves of Italian lovey dovey phrases though for sure.
