Ty talks to himself a lot. I'm pretty sure it's canon actually i forgot-

D-Stroy acts like he's cunning and smarter than D-Structs, when really he is a complete idiot and has no idea what he's doing half of the time.

Click-Clack's panic room is only comforting for him because one time, when he was a baby (or whatever the reptool version is), his mother dropped him in a pile of bolts by accident and he hit his head and somehow made it comforting for him.

Skrap-It has made multiple models for D-Structs, trying to woo him, but D-Structs is oblivious as fuck, plays it off as Skrap-It trying to get into his good books, and smashing the models.

George is high the entire series. Like, genuinely stoned.

I used to think Blayde was lesbian or something, but I've come to an epiphany and realised she's actually incredibly homophobic and there is unfortunately nothing we can do.

Splitter and Pounder are gay for each other and let's just say the latter isn't called Pounder for no reason.

Back in his herd, Dozer would kinda be that cool uncle who always babysits the child dozeratops.

Tiny rant

Trying to write or come up with scenarios involving certain characters is so hard for me because my brain keeps wanting to dumb them down or compare them to other characters that they barely have anything in common with and it’s driving me absolutely nuts

Rn the biggest problem for me is trying to write Ton-Ton. I’m not writing any fanfiction or anything, this is just in general, but I am having such a hard time grasping what his character is like despite knowing how he acts canonically in the show. I’m blaming the Splatoon Manga and its fandom for this one because every single time I try and think “what is Ton-Ton’s character like” I immediately go straight to how people characterized Goggles (who is the main character of the Splatoon Manga) because that’s one of the fandoms I was in before I got into this show (it was an absolute nightmare there), which sucks because they are two completely different characters and the only few sharing traits they have is that they’re blue, optimistic, and can be a bit dumb (Double-T is way more mature and emotionally intelligent than Goggles though). I bring all this up because I am afraid of mischaracterizing Ton-Ton to be like Goggles

I don’t wanna sit here and explain the entirety of Goggles’s character and the plot of the Splatoon manga, but let’s just say he’s unintelligent, immature, overly optimistic, doesn’t take anything seriously at all to the point where it becomes insufferable for the most part, and a lot of the running gags with him are very….h m (very odd and strange toilet humor I guess and it’s way more absurd than whatever Garby has going on). And the fandom has dumbed him down to just be “silly stupid guy who’s incredibly optimistic” and that’s why I’m scared I’ll accidentally write Ton-Ton like that

I might try and analyze his character someday just to help myself understand him more so this doesn’t happen, but yeah

I love Ton-Ton so much and I really don’t wanna do him dirty when trying to write him
