Josuke Higashikata
- he noticed something off about you because you always lingered around the school, even after classes are over.
- you seemed more distant and when he brought it up to you, it's excuses after another.
- until he heard from other students that they caught you sleeping in the gym attic, you even had an air mattress and your stuff up there.
- feels bad that he's kinda involving himself in your business but you're a good friend and he wants to help you.
- dragged koichi and okuyasu to find you in the attic, sitting on your makeshift bed.
- "...hey..!" josuke smiled sheepisly and you stared back in horror.
- you finally admitted to the three boys that you were homeless, you had no support system and you were fending for yourself.
- you've been living in the school for a few months now and you were actively picking up jobs and then dropping them when it wasn't enough to cover the cost for laundry and food.
- josuke is a very emotional boy, he sympathized with you almost immediately.
- he pitched in for the idea on helping you out, now claiming that he's here for you whenever you need anything.
- like he'll invite you over to his place for dinner or for a sleepover, sleeping in the crummy school's attic can be so uncomfortable with the lack of room.
- "thanks for helping, you really didn't have to." you smiled at him when you pulled the blankets over your body as you slept comfortably on an air mattress in his room. it was a miracle someone like him exists.
- "no problem, dude." josuke chuckled. "hey, what kind of friend isn't willing to help out? oh, by the way, if it gets too cold let me know. i like to sleep with the window open."
Nijimura Okuyasu
- follows on whatever josuke was up to, he nearly sneezed his nose out when they found you in the attic.
- "hey, it's kinda nice up here!" he exclaimed, despite how upsetting the situation was.
- much like josuke, he was willing to help you out as well. he lives in a big, creaky house witn his father. there's plenty of space for you to stay for a few days or weeks.
- "this was my big bro's room. you can sleep on the bed!" he offered when he gave you a tour of his house. though, you were still a bit creeped out at the state his father was in.
- also you weren't sure how to feel sleeping in his dead brother's room anyways. so with much consideration, you politely declined and stuck with just staying in the living room.
- and he let you stay for a few days, even suggesting a week wouldn't bother him.
- "you've been a big help, okuyasu." you smiled sheepishly and he'd blush in retaliation.
- "yeah, i'm a nice guy, aren't i?" he laughs.
- he makes going to school seem less like hell. he always saves a seat for you whenever you notice him, josuke and koichi hanging around.
- he can understand why you feel the way that you do. its tough being on your own, so he wouldnt villainize you for keeping this a secret for so long.
- he nods along witn josuke who reminds you that you're not a burden. you needed help and they're here to oblige.
Koichi Hirose
- initially, he seemed a little skeptical when josuke voiced his concern about you.
- not because he didn't care or anything, but mostly because he didn't want to assume the situation you're in.
- your life is your life, he didn't really wanna mess with it unless you reach out yourself that you need help. it was just out of respect he has for you.
- until he begrudgingly joined josuke and okuyasu, where they pretty much raided your room up in the school attic.
- "oh my gosh- we're so sorry..!" he stammered nervously, noticing the shocked look on your face at the three boys. and yet those two bozos were kinda oblivious with their own reaction.
- he felt incredibly bad for you after explaining to them that you were homeless and didn't have any relatives who you could stay with.
- he offered to pitch in his own help by accompanying you to stores and getting lunch together. his treat, really!
- you'll go thrifting together, head to a cafe for lunch and then help you settle back to the attic where he keeps you company.
- "hey, if we keep helping you save up, you'll have enough for a small room a couple blocks away." he's done his research on apartments and small houses that weren't worth a whole lot of money.
- "thanks for all your help, koichi." you smiled.
- for the first time in a while, you felt relieved and knew that things would eventually work out in your favor with friends like these.
Yukako Yamagishi
- she only found out about your situation through koichi. she noticed the gloomy look on his face and wondered if she did something wrong.
- but no, it was because he felt bad for you specifically and she reassured him that you would be fine.
- did she have doubts? well yes, she didn't realize how close you were with her boyfriend and there was a part of her that wanted to get angry at you. but you didn't show any signs that you were remotely interested with koichi.
- so you're off the hook, for now.
- she'll help by provide food and clothes, especially when you'll see each other at school.
- "these would look pretty cute on you." she held up a few shirts. "that way you don't have to go thrifting all the time. sometimes the finds aren't that good."
- "really?" you blinked, accepting her old shirts and stuffed them into your bag.
- "definitely." she nods. "you don't wanna end up like those guys. especially since you hang out with them a lot." she pointed over to josuke and okuyasu.
- "thanks for the tip." you chuckled. you didn't realize that she was actually pretty nice. when she wants to be anyways.
- just as long as you stray away from being too close and friendly with koichi.
Rohan Kishibe
- would reluctantly agree to chip in to help only because he needed to do koichi a favor anyways.
- he didn't know you, barely took the time to remember your name.
- he can understand why you were trying to hide it, your timid expression when you found out koichi had told rohan gave it all away.
- "staying at the school building won't last you very long. when will they start checking the attics? what if you get caught?" rohan hummed.
- he helps more in the back scenes. rarely would you ever get caught up with him personally.
- he would send things to koichi for you to keep. necessities, some food, and koichi would respond that he was just busy.
- still you appreciated the gesture. any kind of help was good help.
- you would sometimes stop by his place with koichi, telling rohan the big news that you got a job and you were saving up money.
- and despite his lack of reaction, he was happy for you nonetheless.
Tonio Trussardi
- despite your situation, he refuses to let you off the hook without feeding your belly first.
- he's happy to feed you whenever, on the house. you're a good person and he can tell you're telling the truth and only have good intentions in finding a place to live.
- he likes you so much that he offers you a part time job at his restaurant where he can pay you to work. hopefully making your journey to collect money a lot easier.
- willing to pay you more the longer you work for him, will even throw in a bit of extra around the holidays. it's his present from him to you!
- "it's been a long day, take the extra tip and the day off." he shooed you out when he noticed you looking sad during your break.
- he's like a father figure to you, always looking out for you. and you couldn't be more thankful for him.
- eventually you were able to make enough to afford a room rental. it wasn't exactly an apartment but it was better than nothing.
- you thanked tonio for all his help and he was glad you were a hard worker.
- you'd continue working for him until you were able to get another job that paid higher.
Mikitaka Hazekura
- i mean, technically he's also homeless because he's not even from here.
- or so we think. thats what he says.
- "if you think about it, the whole world is your home. so you're never really homeless." he explained and you dozed off.
- "sshhh! keep your voice down at least, don't air my business out like that." you shushed him.
- he's a very 'the world is your oyster' type of guy. he'll turn himself into a little shelter for you to stay at. but he giggles and gets ticklish when you walk inside.
- "this is so freaky, this can't be real. are you even human?!" you asked him, hesitant to sit on the couch.
- josuke and okuyasu find you guys off by the shore and they're laughing their assess off because it's just mikitaka. as a house.
- "i thought you wanted a shelter." he turned back into his form.
- "not when its just you!" you blurted.
- "my apologies. i can turn myself into money, that way you'll have infinite cash." he suggested.
- "thanks for the offer but.. i think i can find another way." you chuckled.
Shigechi Yangu
- he's more overjoyed that he has someone else he can call as a friend other than josuke and okuyasu.
- and speaking of which, he found out about this because he eavesdropped the two talking about you.
- so he introduced himself as josuke and okuyasu's best friend and from there he became a mutual friend to you as well.
- if money is a concern for you, he'll happily use his stand to help you.
- but that alone comes with a cost. he might give you some money here and there but if you think of asking for anything more than that.... then you're seriously pushing it.
- "here ya go. that's all i can give you today." the two of you were outside of the school as he gave you a bit of change. "dont ask for more, though! i'm almost giving you my lunch money."
- "huh?! this is more than enough, honestly you really didn't have to... but thanks." you smiled kindly.
- "are you calling me broke?" the shorter boy frowned. "i have all the money in the world! it'd be stupid to share it all on one thing."
- "no-no!" you waved a hand. "really, i mean it!" you corrected.
- "okay good." he grinned, humming happily to himself as he headed inside the building.
- you sighed to yourself and shoved the small bag of yen into your backpack. "i should remind myself to keep my big mouth shut." you muttered.
Yoshigake Kira
- he tries not to waste his time caring for someone like you. people like you were just unlucky and that was none of his business.
- or so thats what he used to tell himself until he saw you busting your ass working at tonio's. the one time he decided to try this place out despite how sketchy it seemed.
- "don't overwork yourself!" he heard tonio call out to you as you balanced two trays full of food.
- by the time you reached to his table, your elbow knocked over his glass of water and luckily some spilled to the floor but he caught it with one hand.
- "im so sorry, sir!" you profusely apologized to kira, scrambling to pull a rag out from your pocket as he allowed you to clean the spill. all he could feel was just pity.
- "no need, i'll clean it myself." he held a hand and you stopped dragging the dirty rag around the table like a mad man. "thank you."
- you felt your face go hot when dismissed you curtly, embarassment wasn't even the right word to express how you were feeling. you just wanted to go the extra mile for that tip.
- and shock came to you when you returned back to his table when he had left. a fat bill sitting under the check grabbing your attention. "no way.." you whispered to yourself, staring at the 60 dollar tip from his meal.
- he did feel pity for you. enough for him to be feeling a little generous. but he left without saying a word to you.
