So, what is it with Norway? Odin seemed to be obsessed with it. He came there when Laufey and the Jotuns attacked Midgard to fight him and he wanted to die there - and even suggested to make it Asgard’s new home after the happening of Ragnarok. There‘s one question I have. I didn’t understand it quite well. Where did Odin lock Hela away? Did she appear just there in Norway after Odin died there or was it the place of the access to her „prison“? If so, that must mean Odin banished her during the „battle of Jotunheim“ cause she saw Odin with the fresh cutted eye which he lost to Laufey in the fight in Norway. Plus that means she didn’t fight WITH Odin but against him and WITH Laufey cause they were on the same side. Did she wanted to conquer Midgard together with him? I can hardly imagine that. Maybe - to reconnect to my main headcanon - she was still in the making of winning Laufey’s trust cause it took her longer than she calculated. It needs a king and an executioner. That’s how she learned it from Odin. But Odin wasn’t any longer with her so she had to find someone new - the Jotun King? And well, Odin knew his daughter too well and looked her plan through. In Ragnarok she seemed to be so crazy about arriving to Midgard. Just a thought. Well, let’s say she left Baby Loki in the temple, where it’d be safe. Why should Jotunheim be attacked at that moment? But after Odin banished her in Norway, Laufey and the rest of the Jotuns weren’t strong enough anymore, so Odin could finally defeat them. Back to Jotunheim he exposed Hela‘s plan to Laufey who immediately became furios and wanted to kill the baby cause it‘s, said with his own words: a „bastard“ - something that didn’t really bother him before. But now it does cause he got embarrassed by Hela. Odin promised to take the baby (cause it’s his grandson and he feels guilty for everything he caused - he took his mother and couldn’t leave him there with Laufey bc Laufey would kill Loki) and to leave Jotunheim forever. „A great king never seeks out war but must always be ready for it“ Btw Loki is damn old. :D
