He’s noticed it - of course he has - but he hasn’t said a word. Charlie needed to come out on his own time, he wasn’t going to force it or point it out. “Yeah?” It’s soft the way he speaks, “You think or you know?” Think isn’t exactly an admission, and he doesn’t mean to pry but - maybe Charlie needs a gentle push. “Hey, if you’ve got any questions, I’m willing to answer them. Coming out isn’t easy.”

“Hey, it’s going to get better, alright? You just have to hang in there.” Clay is going through a lot, they’ve been friends for as long as Tony can remember and seeing him like this? His trauma has definitely changed him. Tony wishes he could help more, do something that would make a difference to Clay but the truth is, Tony doesn’t know what to do. “And if you ever need someone to talk to, I’m here.”

That doesn’t sound too good. He’d known Clay was struggling but he didn’t know he was struggling THIS MUCH. It’s rough, seeing someone so kind and someone he’s known for so long struggle so immensely. “If you didn’t feel anything, you wouldn’t be telling me this, Clay. Do you want to talk about it?”
