it’s not the first time tony has been in the parker residence, not by a long shot. it is one of the only instances he’s been here when peter isn’t present, and he’s at something of a loss. may is cooking for him despite all half - hearted protests that he doesn’t need it, that he isn’t hungry. the actual reasoning has less to do with any of that and more to do with the fact that tony isn’t used to being taken care of. pepper and rhodey try in their own ways, sure, but it’s a rare occasion that he’ll give in and tolerate it for any length of time.
