Turns out it led to a dead Guardian.

A dead hunter no less.

Weird writing I found on a random rock while running through Pit of Heresy on the moon.  I didn’t know what it was at the time, so I asked my clan about it.

Turns out it was a secret thing from a few years ago that I had missed.  I was still new to the world then, so that explains why I didn’t know what was going on.

My fireteam took on...

Uh, let me see here... “Zulmak, Instrument of Torment” ...real pleasant name.

Anyway, this is the millionth time we killed this guy because he just keeps coming back.  We cleared it out no problem.  So what’s so special about this particular one?

So about this time I picked up a chunk of currency that I didn’t recognize.  Wasn’t even sure where I got it.  This was all the information I had.

Me: “Nar, what is this stuff and who is Crow?” Nar: “Huh?  What stuff?” Me: “I got some recon data and it says bring to Crow.” Nar: (Checks his vault)  “Oh yeah, weird.  I don’t know.”

When we met up with Toothpick later, I asked her.  She usually knows more about stuff than I do, so it was worth a shot.

Me: “Toothpick, where’s Crow?  Apparently I have stuff to throw at whoever it is.” Toothpick: “What?  I don’t know.  We’ll probably find out eventually.” Me: “But I wanna use the stuff now.” Anyway, Toothpick was right at least.  In fact, we found out the next day.

We responded to a call from Osiris and found out he was being assisted by someone called Crow, who practically showed up immediately.

This guy.

Okay, so... if you’re following this blog, I’m sure you know all about this by now.

And you also know probably who he is... and what he did.

If not... well, I’d honestly be REAL surprised if you didn’t.

So the first time this guy stepped up and introduced himself, clearly without any memory of past events, the first thing I thought was.  “Oh.... well now I know who Crow is.”  And that was followed by a brief urge to shoot an arrow through his head.

BUT I DIDN’T, OKAY?!

I have more sense than that.  The guy killed Cayde in his past life, and back then I was angry enough to kill him for it.  But after seeing he had been manipulated the whole way through, I’ll admit I hesitated pulling the trigger.

Anyway, Osiris sent me a message, pretty much telling me that the past is the past and Crow isn’t Uldren Sov.  Whatever...  My thoughts and feelings on the subject are complicated.  I know he’s right though.  Here’s to hoping we’ll drag Crow out of the Spider’s mess somehow and offer him a second chance.

Man, it was awkward accepting bounties from Crow the first few times.  I don’t want to talk about anything, but he can probably tell I know more.  Surely he’s gonna find out somehow.
