Rewatching WindBreaker for the nth time. I just realized, when we find out the only contact in Sakuras phone is just the weather report, there is an even more upsetting aspect than just not having any friends.
If he’s ever in trouble, ends up in the hospital or anything— he has no emergency contacts.
I’ve never wanted to throat punch someone’s parents so bad since watching full metal alchemist…we all know what I’m talking about.
Finally catching up on MHA and just cried watching Hawks having his quirk permanently removed by AFO.
So many head cannons popped up the longer I’ve had to process it, so here’s a few of them!
+Now that he can’t fly, he must rely on standard air crafts to get around—and he is fucking terrified of them. Going so far as to call them ‘flying tin cans of death’.
It’s so bad that he’s been prescribed tranqs when the need arises. Which is a lot considering when he becomes the president of the hero commission, he has to travel constantly for meetings.
+ He still remembers each building rooftop with the best views to watch sunrises and sunsets.
On particularly hard days where work is heavy and the world too loud, he will walk up the fire escapes to reach them.
While he can no longer fly above all the noise, sitting with a meal on the roof tops and those particularly stunning sky’s are a welcomed second to it.
+ Phantom pain has become a new companion for him, especially when nightmares keep reoccurring for days at a time.
+ He’s always been cool and collected but after losing his quirk and the trauma of the war, it’s a struggle to maintain certain days.
+ It’s rare and the public will never know but when a new hero license arrives on his desk with a flying/wings quirk—he has a mental breakdown.
Sending everything on his desk flying, guttural screams of all the anger, sorrow and grief muffled behind sound proof doors.
Don’t mind me and my trash idea for a Suo x Reader fic buuuuuut
(Wind Breaker manga spoilers ahead)
So the place that Suo lives has multiple cultures right? So that means different gangs could also be from different countries such as:
Russia
Italy
Norway
South Africa
Haiti
And so on.
Another observation I had was that the Red Champuru are all men.
So could you imagine an matriarchal gang, who for the last few years has been very quite in their corner. No disturbances, no turf battles—nothing. Just silence.
Due to the problems going on in Champuru keeping them occupied, they thought nothing of it. To focused on keeping their heads above water to look into the silence.
When in reality the silence was due to the reigning matriarch passing away (old age, in charge for many decades)
Somehow, as if they knew the moment Suo is back full time— the new matriarch and her two captains enter into Suos territory.
At first everyone assumes it’s to speak with Champurus master. But instead they ask to speak with Suo specifically.
They bring a proposal to him.
“You are struggling financially to take care of your people.”
“How do you—“
“No one has talked or snitched. It’s just something we’ve observed for the last few years. It’s all we’ve done for years while my predecessor knocked at deaths door. So we’ve been watching everyone, learning patterns, overhearing conversations.”
“What do you want?”
“I want to make a trade. You allow some of my girls to come be trained—in exchange I will cover your gangs entire expenses for a year. Food, clothes, housing, education, medical. Everything.”
“And if I refuse?”
“Then I take my offer to someone else. But I sincerely hope you realize what kind of threat that could pose to the Red Chanpuru. Another gang suddenly gains a mass of funding at their disposal, possibly ones thay have held long standing grudges.”
“What a peculiar threat. Why bring this to me and not my Master?”
“Because I believe you are about to be in the same spot I am—for the same exact reason.”
(Starts planning out my Healer Hero Unit Series)
"Aw, this is gonna be so much fun! Just a couple of romantic, smutty, just slightly angsty--"
(gets to Jayce and the aftermath of the Jayce Revolt. Specifically what happened afterwards to all the dragons that participated. Proceeds to have flash backs of all the years and trauma I amassed from the vet and pet food industry.)
"Oh."
"Oh no."
"This one is gonna hurt, isn't it?"
I have this theory that has been nagging me for a while now.
What if one of the main reasons Suo went to Furin, is to see how Bofurin was created as it’s still so new and still developing.
All because the red champuru are stuck in their traditions and struggle to leave old ideations behind, thus affecting other parts of their community.
I’m thinking financially, trust, supplies, education while still defending their part of town.
Maybe it’s a look into the past, that Red Chanpuru started similarly. Having someone like Umemiya leading the way, but every generation became more and more closed off.
