So, there’s a master trainer for every Pokémon in Kanto eh?
That means there’s a Ratatta master. I hope his name is Joey

If I were a Pokémon NPC
I had a thought for what I’d do if I was featured in a Pokémon game as an NPC. At least, what I’d want to be.
You’d find me somewhere mid to late game, and I’d be in a town or city. If you talk to me, I’d comment on your badges and ask if you wanted to battle. You could refuse and try later if you wanted. The fight would be reasonable for the region. After you won, I’d say that you seem like a good trainer, and one of my Pokémon just had a lot of babies. So I would offer you one. No trade, just a free Pokémon if you accept.
It would be a Zubat.
Most of you are probably thinking “are you crazy? Zubat is such a common Pokémon!” And you’re right, they are. At this point in the game you’ll have seen hundreds of them. They’re legion. So your first instinct will be to brush me off. Many probably will at first. Some will take it because hey, free Pokémon, why not?
Those people will then realize that the Zubat I gave them has perfect IVs, literally top percentage, and a move you can only get by breeding, such as Brave Bird. Possibly a kickass move it never had in previous games. And if later, you showed me that same Zubat evolved into a Crobat, I’d give you some awesome item, like a Black Sludge or a Red String
But if you refuse, that’s that. No second chances.
Metagamers would be save scumming my battle just to get the right nature for their Zubat.
Current badge collection. The game won’t properly record walking most of the time for me, which stinks. Also, Joey’s challenge accepted. You actually have to KEEP them, so once the badge finally reaches its max status, there’s going to be a lot of evolving and flooding the lab with transfers.
