After a light topdressing yesterday afternoon the greens revived a “roll only” this morning. The above average rainfall in September (10”) combined with the heat and humidity has all of the #turfgrass at #oldefloridagolfclub in “season ready” condition. Another week of on again, off again, on again play. We are open as of Thursday with high wind of 29 and a low temp of 36. It was darn right chilly and even a quick shower with sleet/hail pelting you in the face. That is when I run for cover to finish paperwork in the office.

4-1-20 Not an April Fools Joke

Yesterday we aerified all of the greens. Yes in one day, and two weeks ahead of planned schedule! When we had our golf courses closed, open, closed from the state we decided to aerify while we were still in the closed status. Until Monday, when the status changed once again and we were allowed to reopen with social distancing requirements.

We borrowed a second core harvester for clean up.
