Do you have crossover verses for the muses on your blog?

Writer quirked an eyebrow.

“.... I mean...” She shrugged. “... Most of my kids are built to be able to traverse the multiverse, so I guess, canonically, that’s a yes- they’re all built with crossover verses in mind.” She hummed, tapping her chin with a finger. “Although if you mean ‘do any of them have verses in other universes where they canonically grew up in said other universe’, then... Also yes. I have a few of those kinds of worlds, and it’s interesting to see those alternates interact with one another.”

The human held out a soda- grape.

“Overall... Some of them have said universes, some do not. It depends on how easily I can write a crossover verse, and... Well, if anyone from the other fandom interacts with them. That’s usually what creates the crossover-worlds in the first place.” And she set the soda down. “It needs to be plotted out, and considering the amount of kids I have... I don’t write a crossover universe unless I know people want to interact with it, so usually there’s very few worlds out there aside from the originals.”

there’s only so many i can do without mentioning panda, @team-phantom​ @heartfelt-silver​

one of my first mains and oldest mutuals, i wont lie about the reason they first stuck out to me being rooted in my deep hatred of infinite’s character and my desperation to see someone write him in a way that made him tolerable for me. i found that on panda’s take in that being not the insufferable power-hungry villain who hasnt earned his overpowered abilities and whos just threatening to be threatening, but rather a damaged, vaguely amnesiac jackal who’s trying to break away from that image despite having some very bad habits still. our muses’ relationship developed so naturally and in a very entertaining way and i’ve never had cause to regret giving this particular instance of infinite a chance. 

and i made a really good friend along the way. panda’s been there at every turn this blog took and has always been so much more supportive than i deserved, they tolerated all my whims and caprices with so much kindness and indulgence. they’re always so eager to interact whether ic or ooc and it’s so flattering to have such an enthusiastic and dedicated friend. another one whose absence i would sorely notice and hope i never have to experience

Freedom is cool but sometimes the most fun comes out of worlds with limitations! Also yes Knuckles is my fave. I'm also so very tempted to throw my own knux muse at you because god Knuckles meeting other Knuckles is such a fun concept

( aww you have a point! it’s also fun with rules too. adds tension and meaning.

please send him anytime! I’ve been meaning for knuckles to meet another knuckles FOREVER! )

I dunno I might be biased because Knuckles is my favorite character but I think a character that prefers to stay in one area could be interesting to build senarios around

( really? I thought it was the other way around. the more areas you’re in, the more ideas you can come up with.

It's cool dude I'm glad it helped encourage you <3 I'm sure you'll find your groove with Knuckles, for me just writing the character helps me pin down what traits I like about them and which ones I wanna tweek to be more fair to their overall canon.

( oooohhh maybe I should remember that. it’ll be tricky since I love... every trait knuckles has jsnsjd. all that’s left is to tweak stuff around I guess.

my main problem is worrying that people will get bored of interacting with him easily. Since he’s normally laid back, calm, and relaxed, he can’t really do much? and then he’s always around the master emerald or at least the shrine, which is what he prefers. it makes interactions fairly limited... I wonder if it’ll drive people away from this blog >> )

I mean in your defense Sega seems to be pretty insistant Knuckles only character traits are Angry and Stupid so literally anything you do with him will be doing him more justice than Sega.

( damn ur right. they do this for nearly all the characters though... for a while, amy was just sonic obsessed. shadow was just edgy. sonic was poppin lockin polka dottin and tails has been reduced to a coward EVEN THOUGH HE’S HAD MOMENTS IN EARLIER GAMES WHERE HE’S COMBATING HIS COWARDICE.

you can tell I’m tired of the writing teams.

and honestly there are some rpers that do these characters justice more than SEGA, which is very sad considering the source material SHOULD be better?? oh well.. )
