Ianto Jones is canonically a trained fighter/killer and could probably snap most of us in half but this fandom looked at the wee soft Welsh boy in a waistcoat and decided he was baby and must be protected at all costs.
I never thought I'd get a role where I'd get to cause so many awkward boners to gay men, so that's one off the bucket list.

I saw a post calling janto creepy because in a real world context it would be weird if your much older boss asked you out... and it would, if you hadn’t shown any interest in the past or had outright turned them down, but Ianto literally made the first move. He kissed jack first. (Not including the kinda weird not really a kiss from cyberwoman). They had already had a flirty relationship. Jack never does anything (on screen) that’s suggests Ianto isnt on board. The team in general are very close and even though jack is their boss, he treats them like equals and they’re all clearly very comfortable disagreeing with him. Also jack is going to have an age gap with literally everyone. And he only looks around 30 ish at the time, when Ianto is around 24. I don’t know, you’re entitled to your opinion, but I don’t think that the age gap or the idea that jack has more power is a valid criticism.
