This is the best possible outcome and I believe this whole-heartedly. 

Tornado-chan and Manga-chan eventually get their happy ending and live together, openly buying Ninja Apprentice Pin-ups every year and fondly remembering the awkward ninja dorks who brought them together so long ago. 

So, you know. At least ONE couple will be happy in this story.
