Music is a universal language which transcends the boundaries of culture, race, religion and gender, all factors which can divide people.

Our upcoming show at the Aga Khan Park on Aug. 18 will be showcasing members of my community and longtime collaborators who have been pillars in the survival of our culture as ethnic minorities.

Opening for my set are Folklorico Filipino Canada, a non-profit group whose main repertoire is traditional Filipino folk dance and music, and HATAW, a neo-Filipino diasporic performance arts group. Although many would consider these two groups to be opposites, I think they represent the evolution of Filipino culture.

Sat July 17th @ The Phoenix!!!

Yes! That’s right. We are less than two weeks away from what will be Return For Refund’s biggest show to date. At 8:30 on Saturday July 17th we’re going to be playing one of Toronto’s premiere venues, The Phoenix Concert Theatre with some amazing local acts, namely Last Bullet, The Dreamboats, The Anti-Queens, and the Crooked.

TORONTO: Playing a very special, intimate acoustic show at Supermarket in Kensington Market on Wednesday at 8pm

I was going to try and write my thoughts/feelings about last night's show, especially since seeing so many grammar errors and stuff from my brain scrambled post last night. I figure since I have a little over 2 hours to kill before my train leaves and I go back home, I should at least attempt to capture everything. But I'm dumb and can't figure out how to put it all under a read more thing on the app, even after getting help. I'm also debating on putting up pics of the stuff I got but I don't know the ettiquette. I got the VIP ticket, so we all scored a tshirt with that, so my question is this: is it uncool to post pics of the merch I got?
