Create Nice Hollywood Waves Haircut by Yourself

Everybody craves for a beautiful, full head of hair like a Hollywood star. If you want to look gorgeous with beautiful and voluminous locks, the Hollywood Waves haircut might just be what you need. And the good news is, you can create these red carpet-worthy curls at home by yourself. Follow the steps noted below to turn your curls from ordinary to extraordinary.

Step One: Start Off With a Good Blow Dry

For this, you need to get a volumizing mousse and a root lifter. Apply the root lifter & volumizing mousse from the roots to the ends of your locks before drying them. These products won’t only help you to fully achieve this look, but also help to hold your hair in place throughout the night. After working with the root lifter and mousse, make a deep-side part and then dry your hair completely. Divide your hair into two sections, a bottom half & a top half.

Step Two: Curl Your Hair with a Curling Iron

Starting with the bottom half, take a 1-to-2-inch piece of hair and curl it using a 1¼-inch curling iron. In case your hair resists being curled, try to use a 1-inch curling iron. Put all the hair into the curling iron clip and leave it there for few seconds before releasing it.

Step Three: Clip the Curl at the Root

Using a pin curl clip, coil the curl in a ring and clip it at the root. This will enable the curl to set & cool so that you get a large volume at the root. Repeat step two and three until you finish the bottom section of your hair.

Step Four: Curl and Clip the Hair in the Top Section

Starting at the crown, take horizontal sections and curl the hair while going away from the face on every side. Use a pin curl clip to pin the curls into place. Repeat this step until the rest of the top section is finished.

Step Five: Allow Your Hair to Set For 5-Minutes before Releasing the Clips

Use a medium-hold hairspray to spritz your hair and allow it to set for 5-minutes. After your hair has cooled, remove all the clips and brush it out lightly using a bristle brush. At this point, your hair should be falling naturally into an S-like shape.

Step Six: Clip Your Hair in Place Where the S-Like Shape Dips In

Using a duck bill clip, clip your hair in place where the s-like shape dips in. Do this all over your head so as to achieve the wavy shape. Use a medium-hold hairspray to spritz your hair and leave the clips there for a few minutes.
