Shopkeepers! Meet some of the shop runners in Salem!

Some lore/fun facts;

Ms Cooke baked her human form. She is basically a gingerbread man, when the famine starts and food rots, so does she from the inside out. She doesn't possess anyone but crafts her form, unlike Pest and War.

Tristan is a Chronomancer, he can hear everyones internal clock ticking down, he's fascinated with figuring out what makes people tick. He rewinds the clock slightly on the corpses he uses, winding them up like clockwork toys to function for a limited time, sort of night at the museum style. He can't use evil corpses simply because he can't figure out how their clocks should 'tick' to rewind them. He also has a pet cat that was his first taxidermy, that 'sleeps' through the day mostly. He's also not exactly aware of the full extent of his magic being a little prodigy and working entirely on instincts and vibes and not practice or research which absolutely infuriates the necromancer.

Phoebe got the antiques store from Deedee (Medium) when she became bed ridden from illness. Two eccentrics vibing! Though she might uh clock the coven too hard with her scrying ball and have to be silenced permanently.

Akan is able to see peoples auras, he chooses to wear the blindfold to enhance the sight of his third eye and focus on the auras of people, having meditated and practiced his talents for years as a travelling merchant before moving into Salem.

Dexter kind of indirect to the mafia, he enjoys cleaning, he doesn't ask questions. He gets notified and payed and doesn't care for the details, he might've done his fair share of messy work before moving to Salem.

Fauna loves making little squirrel and bird houses around. She is a nature mage and always has flowers of all kinds even those that should be out of season or are hard to grow in certain climates.

Spencer is like honestly borderline egotist, and about one silly away from blackmailer. His bugs aren't always for safety, being given a restraining order by the socialite, banned from the estate, for placing cameras in peoples bedrooms and bathrooms. And also had a large amount of his camera and film confiscated by the investigator, well he has enough dirt to not make it all, he tends to sell the material he collects on the black market. He doesn't really care who wins as long as he does, a good time, he'll happily backstab any one of any faction.

Connie uses their mom's maiden name as their alias, bc their father happened to be the man who started the rebellion in Salem and was executed for it. On his death he declared he didn't have any children, and they were written out. A guard pretty much smuggled them out of town to avoid having them also executed, tried to have them adopted by a nice couple, nice couple might've actually been part of mafia's trafficking ring. They went through several 'foster' homes, before being deemed too difficult and abandoned in a basement to starve, being later saved by the coven. Moving back into Salem. They also had an older sister, her name was Dawn. Their originally lived in the capitol, their mother worked in the palace and was accused of food tampering/poisioning, they made Dawn test the blamed food, it had been poisoned by someone else, Dawn died and their mom was executed, their father then left the capitol and moved to Salem with Connie and started up the rebellion against the king.

Vincent Mathews - Voodoo Master, 32, He/him. The owner of "V&M Tailors and toymakers", despite being blind you can say he has an eye for fashion, though it's that very thing that might've cost him his sight as he lost it due to exposure to the fact a lot of dyes happen to quite toxic. Started his business at 17, after working as a shoe-maker's assistant, alongside a man called Morris Valentines, who might've died of perfectly natural circumstances following a minor disagreement in the later years of their collaboration. Medelyn Stone - Medusa, She/her. The oldest friend of the coven leader and the last of the original founding coven, currently runs a boutique in town known as "Stunning Styles" and honestly, if you have questions about the fashion, her gaze just so happens to have a drop dead gorgeous sense of appreciation for details and techniques lost over centuries. Conrad "Connie" Jones Jr - Conjurer, 26, They/them, also goes by Connie Smith. Owner of 'Smith's jewellery' the local jewellery store. Their father was an old blacksmith that might've ran a rebellion against the crown after his wife was executed on (false) charges of tampering/poisoning food, as a kitchen maid in the palace. The rebellion failed, their father was burnt at the stake and they would've joined him if a local bodyguard hadn't smuggled them out, where they went through multiple foster families before being abandoned in the basement for their unruly magic and later found by the necromancer. Lulu Leporids - Illusionist, 30, She/they. The grand theatre's safety manager! Assistant to acts, stage magician and runs the occasional Saturday bingo. When she's not busy at work she likes to turn into a rabbit and nap on the backstage bench, she might be evading taxes this way as well. Neil Morgans - Necromancer, 45, He/they. Ex- court physician, and royal advisor. Was exiled from the capitol when the kings sentiments against magic grew more severe, shortly before he called for the mage hunts to begin. They moved so Salem as work as a private physician, an uptight duke but a very good doctor.

Cold weather means bundling up in warm close and enjoying some wintery activities, Ice skating on a frozen lake perhaps.

Hehe, tis I. Blep have blorbs. Siril Moors-Doorman; Serial killer, 29, He/they Works as a paper delivery boy/mailman for the post office and "the daily goldfinch" newspaper. Might go for his kills on the relaxing hours of late night, early morning paper rounds.

Socrates Parish; Socialite, 44, He/they Owner of the Parish estate, divorced from the towns Marshal and still likes to bug her occasionally, life of the party, lives for the thrill really, hosts parties for the town, for various events, from wedding anniversary, divorce anniversary, including a mysterious annual gala that started around 18 years ago.

Wahoo another family tree. Have Marshal's older brothers and their kids. She's the tired aunt lmao.

Very rich military family all the brothers got specifically trained in combat and military enlistment, Margaret might've had to be a bit more stubborn to get more than tea parties and self defence but hey, she excelled past her brothers in the end.

Trial by combat exists and people can request a duel though it is rarely used, Margaret has held the title of being unbeatable for quite some years, despite her prowess in combat she lacks social skills that most of the rest of her family excel in. She got divorced from Socrates (Socialite) around 8 years ago, and there's a party (naturally he's hosting it why not!) on the anniversary every year.

Charles focused on business becoming a member of the elite gentleman's club the "spirale de minuit" and a very wealthy business owner of the bathhouse, and Georgie while a high ranking official ended up retiring to be more of a family man, Phillip pursued military defence until his death, a skilled bird handler than would order his hawk to gaurd peoples houses and scare of attackers by attempting to gouge out their eyes, often pecking at clothes and other items that could be used to identify them later. Charles has 4 children :)

William has aspirations to run for mayor in the next elections, though some may question if his family connections may provide too much power to a single family, and other question his interests in providing more access and control for the gentleman's club over towns affairs, despite concerns he's a real family man in his own right and aspires for those vibes and care to be the front of his winning image. Kathleen, William's twin sister, might be the only person in town who actually likes the current mayor, in the way one likes an orange cat or a weird shaped rock. Joan like a decent half of the museum workers would really like people to stop climbing on the displays. Seriously, you're getting the bosses feathers in a ruffle! Ronnie miiiiiight've been an oops baby, he's incredibly spoilt and babied by the rest of his siblings and parents, has the temperment of a spoilt purse dog and does not have any concept of the word 'no', his type is anyone that looks like they can kill him. No he does not have survival instincts he wants to be a damn pretty little trophy wife, let him have dreams. He's supposed to work for his in law's shoe-shop as the clerk at the register but tends to spend most of his time browsing raunchy magazines instead- he also has never considered that there are hours before 8am and bold to think he wakes up before 10am unless dragged out. Georgie has 6 children

None magic admirer moment, I thought the silliest idea of "ok how does admirer protect from jailor execute, astral barrier? WRONG, break in and fight the jailor bitch." so yes, he totally has the medical skills for care but hey, when it comes down to it he does have the combat skills. 1v1 the jailor man, do your lover proud. Yes they had a theme for their kids names (Don't worry the mage hunter vigi had it worse) As some additional fun facts, Tammie owns around 5 cats and counting. Terri & Jerri are fraternal twins, while Jamie & Sadie are identical. Jerri wants to be a punk rocker musician but he also wants to be more self made and not reliant on his family's status to gain it. He wanna earn it because of his skills and not because of the connections he has. Timmie is obsessed with trains and has a very dedicated collection and is turning his room into a dedicated assortment of toy train tracks! He'll probably get an apprenticeship as a hostler and enjoy being a cab driver when he's older.

Fuck yeah, Town of salem OC lore dump time.

Going through family trees for some of my skrunkly scrimbles. First up, my main investigator; Pip's family teehee. Originally not all their siblings were gonna have 'roles' of their own but they ended up slipping into them, teehee oop.

Martha Checks (Née: Ruperts) - 63, She/her A retired sort of 'socialite spy' who loooves gossip, and nosey-ing on in everyone's life along with asking her kids when they're gonna give her grandchildren. Classic gossip hag, she was dotingly married to Alfred, a defense attorney who didn't mind gossiping about some of his client cases. Despite her glitzy nature and desire of lots of kids, she often put the actual responsibilities of raising the younger to their older siblings. She's most known for her incredible marmalade sandwiches, often nicknamed by younger folk she's had the pleasure of spoiling with as 'grandma marmalade' Alfred unfortunately passed away at the age of 52 after contracting an illness at work, the era of pestilence wasn't often kind to anyone. He was a formal and devoted business man often with his nose in a case and his interactions with his kids short brief, or showing off, if he wasn't at work he was telling his wife all about it. Eliot Checks - Transporter, 42, He/him The totally eldest. Eliot works at the repairs store in town, he and his twin brother Isaac were consider golden-kids who could do no wrong, and naturally absolutely took advantage of just how much they could get away with. Nowadays he's still an easy going and playful guy, fixed up an old car to use for deliveries, and cross town shipments occasionally he transports people as well as goods. Though typically only on request. Isaac Checks - Tos1 spy, 42, He/him

Eliot's twin brother. Isaac works at the library, he's an incredible nosey guy much like his mother and had a habit of eavesdropping on people, and keeping tabs on everything in the town, back in the day he used to be a sort of spy that could trace mafia activity with ease, though he fell out of the hobby after having his own twin sons and focused on raising his kids. The mafia was practically all gone by then anyway, still he kept around a few of his old tracers and occasionally likes to tune in, his sons are older now, so what's the harm, besides it's not like anything's going to happen? Issac is married to a civi called Isabella, they have 3 sons; John Alfred Checks, (20, He/him) who an aspiring law student, though he plans to surpass his grandfathers reputation as a defense attorney and achieve a status as a judge or prosecutor, he has more of a haughty attitude compared to that of his younger brothers, Tanner & Lorgan Checks (17, He/him) the rascal twins that really might've enlightened Isaac just how annoying he and his brother had been in their youth, seriously how many time does he need to tell them not to poke giant spiders (OR SNAKES) with sticks and that no you can't eat the poisonous frog please stop daring each other to try it.

Rosalinda Meadows - 'Socalite' , 40, She/her

The second oldest. Doting party lover, Rosalinda is a stay-at-home wife to Serena Meadows, a caretaker at the local orphanage. If she was to get a role she'd be a socialite though she's mostly Civi, she loves hosting tea parties ever since she was a child, causing idle entertainment for those around her, now organizes all the business meetings for her wife and often hosts birthdays for the children.

Pip Checks - Investigator, 34, They/Them

The middle child. Pip works at the law enforcement as one of the primary investigatives for Salem. They're perceptive and dedicated to their work. A chronic workaholic in the field who often covers the slack of some of their co-workers (*cough* sheriffs) and have a no nonsense approach to most things, a lightweight in terms of drinking though it's rare they take part in many casual activities beyond an occasional drag on the Pipe. Tresspassing, murder or evil activity their perception and occasional knack for lock picking really lets them stay glued to their cases.

During their early years they came across a challenging case that shifted the way they handle their work forever, even briefly going free-lance in order to try and tackle it when the law enforcement had subsequently given up. Whatever it takes in the end they will have their chase, and they will ensure justice comes to pass. Carlos Fitswilliam - Consigliere, 27, He/him

Ah, the spoilt baby brother. Really Pip was supposed to be the youngest, but oops, naturally Martha had far more interesting things to do than raising another child, alas the eldest already flying the coop, rather quickly dumped the responsibility of caring for Carlos to Pip while she went off to bingo nights and gossip parties. Really, can't blame an 8-10 year old for trying their best to be a parent? Carlos gained an incredibly sheltered view on life and a desire for wealth and a mystical fantasy that well being a little charming really should get him absolutely everything and anything he wants, given the only time he really interacted with his parents was his father showing off a legal case or his mother sharing party news.

He became an excellent business man, a retail salesman and land-owner, who uses his incredibly charisma to charm people into renting or purchasing houses and apartments for... lofty prices. In daily life he's a sort of socialite/admirer, charming and sweet, hosting business meetings with potential clients and securing lower prices for purchase and high profits. Perhaps he would've remained in standing with his devotion to his husband, Mathew Fitswilliam if it wasn't for the incredible business proposition offered to them on a rather dull midsummers eve, alas the two of them never miss an opportunity and the godfather certainly struck a good deal. (Alternatively, Carlos could run the roles of Blackmailer or Framer/forger but hey. Let him rizz people into telling him their roles. /j he uses his charm and knowledge for business to research people like clients~ afterall he needs to know just the right things to say and exactly what they buy~) Mary-Anne Checks Tos1 invest, 23, She/her

The youngest of the siblings! Totally another oopsie, but hey Pip did such a good job parenting Carlos why not another!

Mary-Anne works as a journalist for "the daily goldfinch" newspaper, she's an avid nosey nerd who enjoys snooping through things for a cute story! Light-hearted endeavors to cheer up the other townies, she idolizes Pip the most, wanting to be an incredible investigator just like them, and why not, when duty calls she'll try her best to use her journalism and research skills to gather information and help wherever she can! She loves listening to people, trying to make an assessment on their roles from it can't be too hard, right?

I actually coloured something. Hehe, I do have some changes and more concepts to fully explore for them, but hehe. Some townies will come next since these are from my tos2 dnd/murder mystery I run for my friends, and I wanna clean them all up. :3

High fashion, old money, runs the boutique with her husband, a blind tailor and toymaker.

Poisoner - Posey

High energy tavern worker at the Foamy guard. Enjoys when someone (usually trickster) starts a bar fight.

Ritualist - Rito

Lead journalist, runs the local newspaper. Arrogant and running on about 9 cups of coffee an hour, those all nighters really don't come for free you know!

Hex Master - Roku

A somber graffiti and street artist, though he also creates portraits for the socialite and sometimes provides illustrations to the newspaper.
