So. Darksun's paradise, huh?
... I'm happy for the Suns comfortably housed there, still think it's giant red flag for our Sun.
When he asked Pixel Sun if Darksun had done anything bad, and Pixel Sun questioned why he asked and Sun hesitated to answer, I immediately thought of my Sunvant/Link in my paradise AU, it's not published but I've written dialogue for him somewhere that basically says, "How am I supposed to heal my internal wounds when no one in paradise would believe their Lord abused me?"
Sun would have a lot of trouble explaining his bad experience with Darksun, the pain that he put Sun through, and even if he did muster the courage to tell his story... Would the other Suns believe him? What if they see him as a liar and he ends up ostracized? He'd end up in the situation he just left back home.
Not to mention, everyone's gushing over how soft, how caring Darksun is being, but to me, it feels saccharine. Too sweet, too soft, too unlike how we've seen him thus far. Maybe it's because he's let his guard down now that he's achieved paradise, but I doubt it. To me, it feels like he knows you attract more flies with honey than vinegar.
All we saw was nothing but good, and apparently at most there's only petty drama over cookies. Which- really? All these different Suns with different backgrounds and stuff, possibly different stances on very vital things, and there's really no bigger fights? It just feels too good to be true. It's so perfect.
And that just makes me all the more dubious of this supposed paradise.
I'm going to be honest, if Sun chooses Darksun's paradise over any other alternative, I will be disappointed. He can't use his magic or something to find a dimension where animatronics have rights and go there? (Speaking of which, why do they never seek out places where animatronics have rights in general? The multiverse is vast, you cannot tell me there isn't at least one dimension where animatronics have rights, at this point it feels like they just use that as an excuse to push the characters towards needless extremes or into bad decisions.)
