💒 ( i can't help thinking about what it would be if the actually would've gotten married. john & sally )
Send me 💒and I’ll plan our muses’ wedding!
How did our muses get engaged?: Simcoe got her father’s very reluctant permission to marry Sally right before Simcoe left town with his troops.
How long were they engaged before they got married?: He wanted to wait until the war ended so in January 1782, he returned to Oyster Bay where they married in February before they moved to England.
Who is in the wedding party?: Phebe and Audrey are Sally’s bridesmaids. Simcoe brings along the soldier he’s closest with, George, and then chooses Sally’s brother, William, over the other Townsend men. The family was particularly aware of Simcoe and Robert’s iciness towards one another. Simcoe had no idea he was a spy but he knew of his revolutionary leanings. Simcoe made an attempt to be kind to him but Robert was more reluctant as he viewed the event as Simcoe stealing Sally and breaking apart the family.
What is the wedding venue?: The Townsend drawing room. They figure that no one would be very pleased to have a loyalist in their local church right after the war has ended.
What are our muses wearing?: Simcoe wears his military uniform and powdered wig. Sally wanted a new dress and her father very reluctantly lets her buy a blue silk, sack-back gown which cost him way too much. Think of this gown but in ocean blue silk. Her sisters do her hair up in a small pouf (nothing too dramatic).
What’s the theme/aesthetic?: It’s a bit melancholy because the wedding comes with the underlying implication that Sally and Simcoe will be crossing the ocean in a matter of weeks. The family knows that time with her is precious and they may never see her again because of the distance and the perils at sea.
A special gift that my muse gives to yours before the wedding: A bracelet to go with her dress! This bracelet is the general look but the colors are different, they’re all made of light blue glass.
Where are they going on their honeymoon?: England. That’s it.
BONUS: They move to Devon, England and Simcoe becomes an MP. The pair have three children: Elizabeth, John, and Solomon. In 1791, they move to Canada and Sally becomes depressed because of the move. The next baby is Anne, who becomes Sally’s pride and joy. Catherine and Harriet quickly follow though Catherine dies at age three. In 1796, Simcoe’s poor health forces them to return to England. Simcoe dies in 1806 at the age of 54. Sally dies in 1817 at age 57. All of the children comfortably settle down and have families of their own. Solomon goes on to become a well liked politician in Canada and Anne ends up marrying a rich Duke.
BONUS BONUS: In their modern verse, they only have four children because of better birth control. Simcoe becomes an MP and their live comfortably in England. They have a flat in London and a cottage in Devon. They live long enough to meet six of their many grandchildren. Simcoe dies at age 75 and after his death, Sally sells the flat in London (but not the cottage) and moves back to America to live with Robert. She dies at age 89.

your muse adjusting mine’s appearance, such as straightening a tie, fixing their hair, or buttoning their shirt for them, etc .
“Thank you.” Henry stood still an allowed his wife to adjust his tie, though staying still was difficult when his mind and body both were geared towards the door. “Darling, hurry up. I don’t want us to be skulking to our seats during the overture.”

The Battle of Monmouth was finally over and the surviving Continental troops had dragged themselves back to camp, claiming victory, but the Regulars were doing the same and they all knew it. The return trip was excruciating for Alexander, his horse had been shot out from under him and the resulting injuries left him unable to continue fighting and forced him to travel by carriage instead of riding with the rest of the men. He tried to rest on the road like the field medic had suggested, but pain shot through his body every time they went over a bump and he was too miserable to sleep for more than a few minutes at a time.
When they arrived, he spent three days sleeping and being cared for by the camp doctor until he was deemed well enough to return to his tent, on the condition he avoid any strenuous activity for at least a week. Though this irritated him, he quickly realized he didn’t have the energy for activity, even if he wanted to disobey the orders. Though he felt terrible, he needed to get up and around on occasion and decided to cross to the other side of camp, where the camp followers stayed, and on the recommendation of a friend, approached a young woman.
“Excuse me, miss? I was told you have some skill at mending uniforms, would you have some time to take a look at several of mine. I won’t be in the field for some time, but I would like my uniforms to be ready when that time comes.”
{♔} “Oh look--a VALKYRIE.” Her tone is cold, despite the cruel smile she wore on her face, examining her nails as if this wasn’t one of the most INTERESTING developments of her day. Hela sneered her words, as though just saying it was an insult to her own existence.
Well--she’d admit she was DISAPPOINTED that she hadn’t slaughtered every single one like she had initially thought, there was a sense of excitement in being able to FINISH her task.
“Didn’t I kill all of you? One by one--falling out of the sky like PATHETIC little raindrops?” She scoffed and sat up from the throne, running her hands over her hair to summon her headdress, arching a dark brow.

FOR EVERY 👍 I GET, I WILL RECOMMEND A BLOG -- > @totanimarum -- > Accepting!
@madamehenriette - I know Kara is still on hiatus at the moment, but she’ll be back and if you’re not following Kara’s Henriette, you 100% should. She is absolutely fantastic and is a big part of my Louis especially. SHe is another person who is honestly one of the sweetest people that I talk to and I cannot wait for her to return. I probably would have struggled with Louis a lot, if it wasn’t for her.
@ladycatherinegordon - We’ve been writing for nearly a year on a couple different characters and her friendship and characters are so very important to me. She puts up with me being slow af sometimes too, but honestly, any blog that she makes is honestly going to be perfection and such quality writing and I 100% recommend her always.
@williamoforange - I love love love this William, both IC and OOC. We met through other characters late last year, and they are one of those people who I never want to lose contact again. My love for William and the mun is 100% and they should be followed, to the ends of the earth.
@totanimarum - I have honestly admired from afar for a while and the mun is really sweet and I am glad that I’m finally starting to write with them and I have to say that I think all of their characters are wonderful and I highly recommend them, 100%
“People keep coming and going, asking for different favors. What is it that brought you to our court, Madame?“
@totanimarum
The carriage rocked back and forth, tugging Mary this way and that as she looked out at the landscape of France. She was finally coming back to French court to be married and Mary couldn’t help but feel nervous. Too soon, the carriage came to a stop and someone opened the door. Gathering one last breath, she straightened up and stepped out. She was greeted to the sight of her ladies and a smile broke out on her face. “Kenna, Greer, Lola, Aylee and Henriette.” She cooed, opening her arms to hug them all.
