I'm having a bit of a cold, so instead of doing something productive, I'm making self indulgent silly things. Everybody draws that Magnae accessio kiss. I want too.

I normally hate doing line art, but I made this brush recently... it was meant for quicker shading of all things but it reminded me of marker texture, so I decided to try and draw something linearty with it. And simultaneously I wanted to try and draw people kissing ( because I never tried to draw a kiss). So here we are

I've got a "colored" version with flat colors mostly for my own understanding of where the hell their everything is. But it's ugly. And I'll show it anyways, because why not? It's not a finished work anyway

They are almost done!!

Need to twitch their anatomy a bit, and face, and render lighting better ( maybe make the light sharper?). And a background. Hate backgrounds, but there should be a simple one.

I also started to draw for outfit challenge, but those doodles are in the beginning of process, so I'm embarrassed a bit to show them)

I've bothered people enough for last couple of days, so let this be an open tag for everyone who wants to share their WIPs! :D

I have a concept homework again)

This sad creature

According to technical task: They are a crippled homunculus rogue. They are a result of unfortunate alchemical experiment wich resulted in their quickly deteriorating body and dependence on rare medicine. The medicine is expensive and produced by moraly dubious methods. When the Rogue found out the secret about this medicine's nature, they decided to refuse it's use entirely and try to live their short and painful life being a worthy person, a hero maybe. And at least die like a human even not being one.

My sensei is a huge fan of Souls series ( as much as I am myself), and so his character tasks are often grim, grotesque and tragic.

I'm having a lot of fun working on this. ( I feel very sorry for the poor creature though...)

100 heads in 20 days ( or more because I'm slow)

Decided to try this thing to boost my portrait skill a bit ( cause I don't like my current state). The first 5 to go then!

About 30-45 minutes for each. The second one killed something in me ( I absolutely need to train difficult angles more) and I low-key hate how the third one turned out. But that's just the first day.

Can definitely say that the last one felt somehow easier in comparison to the first. And I didn't bother myself with the hair, maybe I should take longer time for every shot. Not sure if I'll do them every day, because of being busy, but I'll try to do at least one per day. Interesting if I see any improvement by the end.

7) A medium of art you don't work in but appreciate.

I answered this one in this ask) in short music ( especially opera) and poetry

17) Do you eat/drink when drawing? If so, what?

Yup! I do) I drink a lot of tea or coffee while drawing. I love black and not sweet coffee hot in winter, autumn and spring and cold mixed with cherry or orange juice in summer, my favorite sort is Ethiopia Guji because of it's slightly sour fruity taste. And I love different teas millions and millions of kinds and blends and my husband always mocks me about it saying we don't have enough tea and need to buy even more. I almost don't eat while drawing because food stains my tablet. I do have some candies on my table though.

20) Something everyone else finds hard to draw but you enjoy.

Eyes. Eyes are definitely my favorite part of any portrait. I can't say I'm good at it, but I can spend hours on eyes alone trying to make them alive.

7) A medium of art you don't work in but appreciate.

Oh, there are many! First of all music. I love music so much and basically can't live without it. I always listen to something and almost all of my works have some song as an inspiration. But I myself am hardly a musician. I can play guitar a bit and I used to train as a singer in teenage years. But I didn't play anything in years ( and I think I don't remember how) and I sing only while doing house chores which is hardly work of art.

I also LOVE poetry, but I'm terrible at it. The peak of my poetry are humorous and sometimes stupid стишки-пирожки ( don't know if there's analogy in English... it translates like " poems-pies"), but I'm quite bad in them too. I love to cite poetry by heart though.

10) Favorite piece of clothing to draw.

Clothing is fun overall, but I'd say I love to draw armor pieces and accessories the most. I also love to draw something worn out regardless of what it is.

30) What piece of yours do you think is underrated.

Oh, that's a difficult one) I tend to dislike most of my works immediately after they are finished and it's more of a self esteem issue than something else. But there's a funny, stupid and self pitying story about one of my works and how it led me on Tumblr.

My first post here was a redraw of "Meeting at the turret stairs" which at first I posted on Rogue trader subreddit. That was my most difficult piece at the time and I wanted some validation... and I got some. But it was much less than I got when I posted there my castom RT portrait. And for some stupid reason I got salty as hell about it and whined endlessly about it to anyone who dared to ask what happened. And so my friend advised me to go with it on Tumblr. I was afraid, but my hurt about reddit motivated me, and here I am!

I don't like this piece now and would definitely do a redraw of a redraw in the end of the year to see my own progress. But I definitely do love Tumblr! It motivates me greatly to draw and there are so many amazing people ❤️

Veritas

Crêpes Suzette, spiced pears in wine and hot chocolate with chilli.

Something tart, sweet and hot but with hints of tenderness.

Crème brûlée, dark chocolate ( maybe with a bit of sea salt), angel food cake

Strict, simple and effective classics. Nothing more, yet nothing less.

Any signature author's dessert with crazy combination of ingredients, wich is scary to try at first, but fantastic when you finally try it.
