A most charming collector friend of mine in Toronto sent me pics of his painting, Duality (from my HOLIDAY EVERYDAY series), installed on the walls of his brand new condo. I love how the painting works in this space, and can be seen from both the second story mezzanine, as well as from the main floor… it’s a gorgeous, light-filled space, and the colors seem to dance across the canvas. What an honour for my artwork to occupy such a central location in his beautiful, new home! And scroll sideways to view a 2nd little painting next to his door, Touch 17, from my TOUCH series. 📷: @normcg (thank you, my friend!). 🧡❤️💜💙 #ClaireDesjardins #HolidayEveryDaySeries #TouchSeries #HomeDecor #WallDecor #LargeFormatPainting #ColorfulPainting #ArtInstallation #PaintingInstallation #InteriorDecor (at Toronto, Ontario) https://www.instagram.com/p/CQBJkNSJng-/?utm_medium=tumblr
At the very beginning of this pandemic, my husband and I hightailed it back home to Canada. Like everyone else, we were immersed into in a state of disbelief and shock. In response to this shift in mindset, I painted a series that I called TOUCH (link in bio): a series of mostly smaller paintings, which were my attempt to connect. Many people I cared about suddenly felt so far away. I find it interesting to look back at that time in March (not so long ago), and to ponder how much we have changed since then, for better or for worse. Here are a few of the paintings I made, at that time. View more of the series on my website. 🧡❤️💜💙 #ClaireDesjardins #Touch #TouchSeries #CovidArt #Colors #ColorField #BuyArtOnline #AbstractPaintings (at Gore (Québec)) https://www.instagram.com/p/CEsJ6wNp28A/?igshid=1mwm1x6umobav
