Written as a TS Valentine Discord Gift Event for @artbycourage (sorry homie I'm posting it here hecka late haha)]

There’s an exuberant skip to your step as you bound down towards the clinic. You hum a quiet satisfied tune that reverberates through your chest.

Your satchel bounces against your side, inside a cloth bag filled with assorted trinkets, individually and delicately wrapped in paper, jostle about. Every crinkle was a pleasant reminder of the remaining visits you still had to make.

Twenty minutes earlier you had delivered a rose-gold-tinted hair cuff to Sen. It was embedded it with several small rose-quartz stones that you had in-laid yourself a week ago.

You would have offered to braid another section of her to attach it, but she had rewrapped and pocketed it so quickly and thanked you so abruptly that you held your tongue. 

You were a little disappointed, but the tinted color to her grayed cheeks was rewarding enough.

And you still had 6 gifts to deliver! That was plenty to look forward to.

Temple life made it difficult to appreciate the giving and receiving gifts.

Anything from you was considered a blessing.  Anything for you was an offering. 

There was no in between.

Heck, you could barely go about doing anything without it being interpreted as a gesture of sorts. Brushing a speck of dust off a shoulder or picking a stray leaf from lose hair? That was considered an honor that would bring one of your staff or follower to tears for you benevolence.

Only in your mind could only imagine the joy of adoring someone with something you had painstakingly crafted without any misinterpreted pretense.

But this year, things were different.  You didn’t have to suffer Valentine’s Day with offerings.  You could just give things you liked to the people you liked!

And you quite liked the nifty metal wires and stone bits you had collected over the years and reassembled into personal ornaments......

eleanor nneeds to put them blinding orbs away...

She in fact cannot- Fun cat Eleanore is suppose to have Tapetum lucidum which is a specific layers in the eyes that make it reflective to light so you can see in the dark ( that how some animals eyes glows )

Things I think the TouchStaved LIs like to do at the beach ⛱

Ais (assuming he isn't banned)

During the day, dig a big ass hole or build the most amazing sand castle anyone has ever seen.

At night, drink and relax on the beach but ends up crack skulls of all the drunk ppl that think they can take him in a fight. (Probs why he was banned) Would go to clubs with Vere of he isn't banned from those as well.

Kuras

Day time, take long walks to find pretty sea shells and observe those little waves pools with the starfish and other little creatures. I can also see him wanting to visit historical land marks and lighthouses.

At night, sit on the beach or condo balcony and star gaze while listening to the waves.

Leander

During the day? All the activities. Boogie boarding, paragliding, jet skies, vollyball, the whole nine yards. But he begs everyone to do everything with him even tho they don't wanna.

He would let Ais and Mhin bury him in the sand as long as they gave him a mermaid tail and titties. (Spoiler, they leave him buried with a bucket over his head)

At night, bar crawl, arcades, mini golf, go kart courses. And he stays until forced to leave. Anyone with him is absolutely exhausted.

Vere

During the day, lay out on the beach and tan all day. Lucky bastard never burns.

At night, hit all the clubs and bars with live music.

Mhin

Hates the beach bc like me they burn like toast. No amount of sunscreen will help. Stays huddled under the umbrella with a book least they have to go to the ER with sun poisoning and 32nd degree burns.

At night, they will be sitting with Kuras looking at the stars.

BONUS MCs

Yzme

Daytime, diving for sea shells and helping Ais build his exact sand sculpture replica of Eridia. Would also play vollyball with Leander so she could continuously spike the ball at his head.

At night, hunting for those little glow in the dark crabs (and scream loudly when one scuttles over her foot) Also bars and clubs.

Aelia

During the day, walk with Kuras some but mostly huddle under the umbrella with Mhin. Baby burns easily as well.

At night, visit one arcade for like 2 hours and get ice cream on the way back to the condo then stargaze with Kuras and Mhin.

Kirian

Daytime, just swim in the ocean. Maybe go paragliding with Leander.

At night, wants to visit all of the souvenir shops before they close and buy all the clothes that say what beach they are at.

Someone here said that Leander should sound like Michael Bublé and I couldn't agree more, this man's voice is magical.

I think the Senobium is inspired by The Grand Library of Baghdad aka The House of Wisdom

I imagine this is what the rest of the Senobium looks like from up high, the circular wall and the tower in the middle.

If the Senobium was inspired through architecture and as a school by the House of Wisdom its not to farfetched to assume its similar in other ways.

So what was the Grand Library of Baghdad? Like the Senobium it was an academy and one of the world's largest public libraries during the Islamic Golden Age. Before it was a public library it was private collection of the second Abbasid caliph al-Mansur (al Mansur means conqueror). This collection housed more than 400,000 rare books from around the world. These books contained newly discovered and ancient information on philosophy, mathematics, medicine, astronomy, astrology, and physics.

Later under the decree of Abbasid caliph al-Ma'mun this collection became an academy and public library where writers, translators, authors, scientists, and scribes (of all backgrounds and religions) would meet daily for translations (of the books to Arabic), writing, reading, and converse with each other. It would remain like this for more then two centuries.

Unfortunately the House of Wisdom was destroyed in 1258 during the Mongol siege of Baghdad. The books from Baghdad's libraries were thrown into the Tigris River in such quantities that the river was said to have run black with the ink from their pages.

Thats all I got, hope yall liked the history info dump. I dont know for sure if the Senobium is inspired by this Library. If it is it would be cool to see how the devs would incorporate the libraries rich history and destruction in a fantasy setting.
