Summary: Sequel Series to the Do You Want to Know a Secret ? Series. Reader accepts a job as a photographer for a band as they begin a tour mid-1966, what happens when she finds out that she knows them ?
The first night in Japan proved to be very interesting, you found yourself alone in your room, tucked into your bed, until you heard a knock on your door at about midnight.
“Come in?” You offered in a sleepy voice.
You heard someone enter and crawl into your bed beside you, though you weren’t sure of who it was until their scent filled your nose.
“Paul? What are you doing in here?” You asked, your voice still laced with sleep.
“Mm,” he mumbled into your shoulder, his arms wrapping around your torso like a fleshy cage.
“You alright?” You asked softly, reaching a hand up to run your fingers through his hair, causing him to hum in approval.
“Couldn’t sleep,” he murmured, nuzzling his face into your neck.
“M’kay,” you whispered, allowing him to cuddle you.
About half an hour, later you heard another knock at your door.
You sighed, “Come in,” you called, quietly as to not wake Paul.
“(Y/N),” You heard John call.
“What’s wrong, Johnny?” You asked in a soft voice, “Careful. Paul’s here too.”
John carefully climbed into bed as well, curling into your right side, “Thunderin’ out,” he murmured into your chest.
You hummed to acknowledge what he’d said, now waiting for George and Ringo to come crawling into your room as well.
You heard the door open no more than 5 minutes later—no knock was heard, “Love,” you heard George call out into the dark room.
“Georgie, what’s wrong, darling?” You whispered.
His eyes adjusted in the darkness, “Who else is here?” He asked in a tired voice.
“Paul and John,” you murmured as you felt the foot of the bed dip as George crawled into it and laid right on top of you.
“Mm,” he replied as he comfortably laid on top of you on his stomach, using your breasts as a pillow and turning his head to the right.
You ran a hand through his hair as you’d done with Paul earlier, “You’re lucky you’re skinny, Harrison,” you muttered under your breath.
He let out a giggle, “Ye love me too much,” he whispered as his mouth fell open and his breaths became slower and evenly spaced out.
“You’re right, dear,” You said as you kissed the top of his head and ran a finger along his nose.
He didn’t reply, but you felt his cheeks twitch in a small smile.
Ringo never did appear at your door that night, though Brian did the next morning, with Ringo at his side.
“(Y/N), have you seen—oh. Nevermind,” He said upon seeing the dog pile the boys had formed on top of you in the night.
George had weaseled his way between you and John and had his head in your chest, mouth open and still drooling.
“You’re kidding! I missed a group cuddle!” Ringo exclaimed as he climbed into bed beside Paul.
“Wasn’t planned,” you muttered, still groggy due to having just woken up.
“Shaddup,” You heard John groan as he wrapped his arms around George’s torso.
“You have to wake up, Johnny,” you whispered in a sweet voice.
“No,” he groaned again, which only caused Brian to pinch his foot through the blanket.
“Get up, John,” he said in a stern voice.
“Hey!” John screeched, sitting up.
His shrieking now causing George and Paul to wake up.
George was cowering into your body, as John was practically in his ear when he’d started screeching.
You rubbed a hand up and down George’s back, “It’s okay Georgie,” you murmured, trying to get the poor lad to relax, “good morning,” you added in a sweet tone.
He hummed and his eyes fluttered closed for a moment as he relaxed into your touch.
You turned your attention to Paul, who was clutching onto you for dear life, obviously having been in a deep sleep when he’d been woken up.
“You okay, Paulie?” You asked, running your index finger of your free hand at the nape of his neck.
His eyes were squeezed shut as he held tightly onto your torso, not replying.
“You’ve got a way with them, (Y/N),” Brian said in wonder, seeing how calm the three boys were now, despite just having been woken up.
“We’ve known her longer,” John grumbled, rolling onto his back despite how small the bed was.
“Known ‘er over half me life,” George murmured into your chest, his eyes now slightly opened.
“Me too,” Paul replied sleepily.
“I’ve not, but she’s a doll,” Ringo said with a grin, which caused you to giggle.
“Thanks, Rings,” you said with a smile.
“Might have to promote you to my assistant,” Brian said before diving into today’s plans for the boys and leaving your mind swirling with thoughts about being Brian’s assistant.
Brian had given you some extra tasks for this show, including getting all four of the lads (and their instruments) to Budokan Hall where they were performing for the next three nights.
Currently, you were on your way to the venue, squished in the backseat of the car with George, John, and Ringo, as Paul had claimed that the backseat gave him a ‘tummy ache’.
Ringo was pressed flush against the window, John was beside him essentially squishing him against the car door. You were sat between George and John, practically in George’s lap.
George had his arms around your waist to keep you steady as the driver went along down the road.
“Jeez, Hazza, you’re gonna leave a mark with how tight you’re holding (Y/N),” John said with a laugh, nudging your thigh with his elbow.
“N-No I’m not,” George stuttered, suddenly becoming red-faced as his grip on your waist loosened slightly.
You quickly jabbed John in the side with your elbow before laying your own hands above George’s on your own waist, turning your head to the left to see his face, which was slightly obscured by the sun coming through the window.
He only smiled in a shy manner, dipping his head to press a gentle, loving kiss on your jaw before burying his head in your shoulder and taking in your scent.
You smiled to yourself as the car pulled up to where Brian was waiting, and the four of you climbed out of the backseat, leaving you and George to exit the car last.
Brian grinned proudly at the fact that you’d been able to get all four of the lads (and their equipment) to the venue ahead of schedule.
“(Y/N), can I talk with you in private?” Brian asked.
“Oh, of course,” you said as you followed him down a small hallway leading away from the backstage area.
“I think I’m going to hire another photographer,” he spoke suddenly, breaking the short moment of silence.
“Oh,” you didn’t mean for your voice to sound so disappointed, though the words you spoke were drowning in it, “am I not doing well enough?” You asked.
“Oh, no! Quite the contrary, actually! I’d like to hire someone else so that I can hire you as my assistant,” he said with a very large smile, “I think you are doing a great job with the boys, and it would be a waste to just have you on as a photographer.”
Your eyes widened in surprise, “Really?” You managed to squeak out.
“Yes,” his grin never faltered, “after these last few shows here in Japan and the Philippines,” he answered. “Will you consider it?” He asked, his voice hopeful.
You nodded, “I’ll have to think on it, but I will absolutely consider it,” you said with a smile.
“Great,” Brian said as he gently guided you back to where the boys were sitting.
George was the only one to look up from tuning his guitar, flashing you a small grin as he patted the seat beside him.
You relaxed and sat beside George, still quite stunned from the events that had happened in the previous few minutes.
“Ye daydreamin’ there?” George asked as he waved a hand in your face, “You good?”
You turned to acknowledge him with a nod, “Just thinking,” you said as you leaned on his shoulder, “Brian offered me an assistant position,” you murmured quietly.
George whipped his head around to look at you, “Really? Are you going to take it?” He asked, obviously curious.
“I might, but I’m not sure yet,” you replied.
He hummed in response, “You’d practically be an assistant to all five of us, even to Mal sometimes,” George mumbled.
“You’re right, but I like takin’ care of you guys,” you said, nuzzling into George’s shoulder, “I like being there for you.”
George could feel his heart melting at your words, “I love when you’re there for me,” he said without thinking.
You turned to make sure no one was looking before pressing a gentle kiss on his jaw, “I know you do, love.”
You felt George grow warm under your touch, his face becoming red and flustered.
You quickly pulled away and let your head rest on his shoulder once again, a satisfied smile on your face.
George rested his head on top of yours, his face settled in a shy grin.
The shows in Japan went expectedly well, despite the protests outside Budokan Hall and several death threats which caused an increase in police presence and security.
The next stop on the tour was the Philippines, which unfortunately did not go as well as planned.
The band were seen in a different light as they had appeared to have snubbed Imelda Marcos as they didn’t attend a social engagement that was held by the royal family.
Your entourage were being absolutely manhandled as you attempted to leave the country, you were sandwiched tightly between George and John and the two men formed a tight cage around you as you were rushed onto the plane.
There were dozens of soldiers and Philipino citizens trying to get their hands on anyone who was in your group. They clawed at their suits, nearly tearing their sleeves off and leaving them worn and tattered.
It was a terrifying experience that you were thankful to have survived. As soon as you were on the plane you’d collapsed into George’s arms, holding him close to your chest as you silently cried, the thought of losing your own life or losing one of the boys becoming far too much to bare.
The army officials only allowed the plane to leave when Brian surrendered a nearly all of their earnings in exchange for your freedom.
All four of the boys, and yourself, sat quietly on the flight home, still in shock and terrified from your experience.
You were curled into George’s lap, unable to move anywhere but closer to him. George was only able to return your affection, needing some for himself as well.
When you all had returned to London, all five of you had huddled together in your apartment, unable to shake the horrible experience you had all just experienced together.
None of you talked, you just all sat squeezed together on your couch.
You hadn’t let George move away from you for longer than a minute to go to the bathroom, deadly afraid of losing your bestfriend.
You were curled tightly to his side, your eyes red and watery, and his suit stained by your tears.
“Can-Can I stay here tonight?” John choked out.
“Me too,” Paul echoed along with Ringo.
George whispered similar words into your hair, squeezing his arms tight around your body.
“Of course,” you murmured, “but I’m sleeping in my own bed.”
“Well how the hell do you expect us to sleep with you in that tiny thing,” John complained.
“You guys are self sufficient, you can sleep on the couch,” you said as you stood, tugging George with you towards your bed.
“I call the couch!” John yelled, suddenly stretching his limbs out with no regard for anyone in his general vicinity, which caused him to not only punch Paul, but kick Ringo which in turn made both parties groan in complaint.
“Will you shut the hell up?” You grunted, pulling George under the covers with you and cuddling close to his warm body.
“I thought you two were savin’ yourselves for marriage or somethin’,” John chattered, curling himself into a ball to allow Ringo to sleep on the other end of the couch.
Your eyes peeked over your fluffy covers, “Fuck off, Lennon,” you said as George wrapped his arms around you.
“Where am I supposed to sleep?” Paul asked, his puppy eyes meeting your stern gaze.
“C’mere, Paulie,” you offered, opening your covers for him.
Paul grinned as George whined in protest.
“Shush,” you muttered to George as Paul gratefully climbed into your bed and snuggled into you.
It was silent for a couple minutes as you all began to fall asleep.
“Love,” George whispered in your ear.
You turned your head in his direction, “Yes?”
“Can, uh, can you cuddle with me?” He asked, his voice nearly shaking.
“Oh, of course darling,” you said as you turned your body away from Paul and cocooned your arms around George. “Do you want to talk about today?” You asked quietly, pressing your head into George’s chest.
“I’m just glad I didn’t lose you,” George whispered into your hair, holding you as close as possible, as if he was afraid to lose you. “Don’t know what I’d do if I didn’t have you.”
You reached a hand up to run your fingers through his thick hair, “I’m here Georgie, I promise,” you whispered, closing your arms tightly around his thin frame, “I love you.”
“I love you too,” he replied in a soft voice, his face in your hair.
When you woke up, you found that you and George were alone in your bed, and that Paul had flopped himself dramatically onto the floor, his limbs sprawled out in a way that would only be comfortable to a sleeping child.
You nearly giggled at his sleeping form, before the realization of the past days dawned on you and you nuzzled your face into George’s neck, pulling him flush against you.
He hummed, wrapping his arms tight around you, “What’s wrong, dear?” He asked in a sleepy voice.
You just pushed your face further into his neck, if that was at all possible, hiding away from the realization.
“It’s okay, love, I know how scary it must’ve been for you. I’m so sorry you had to be dragged into that with us,” George mumbled into your hair, one hand holding you flush against him while the other softly stroked your hair.
You clutched to George for dear life, “Just let me hold you for a bit, before I have to give you back to Pattie,” you whispered into his neck. “I don’t know what I would have done, had I lost you, George.”
Warm tears spilled into the crevice of George’s neck as you silently cried, the terror you felt still a very current and traumatizing feeling.
George held you close and gently rocked the two of you side to side, which helped to subside your tears and emotions for a short amount of time.
“Y’know, I wrote a song for you,” he sheepishly admitted, “a while back, actually.”
You sniffled, pulling your face from his neck, “Which song?” You asked hesitantly.
“Well,” he paused, and when you looked up at him, the light pouring in from the windows illuminated his face just enough to reveal a pink tint on his cheeks, “most of ‘em are about you,” he said, looking away from you.
You looked up at him, your chin now resting on his chest, “If I wrote songs, all of mine would be about you,” you whispered, ghosting a kiss on his jaw.
George’s heart fluttered in his chest, suddenly so content and full of love that it was almost overwhelming and unbearable. “I want to marry you,” he blurted.
Your face flushed, obviously not expecting that type of outburst from George.
“I know there’s some business to take care of before we could even think on that, but I just need you to know that I’m in this, that I’m not backing away from you just because it’s gotten tough. I want you, I need you, and I surrender myself to you,” George speaks when you find that you can’t seem to find the correct words.
Your finger traces his sharp cheekbones as you stare up into his dark brown eyes, your entire body chilling under his gaze.
You still can’t seem to find the correct words as you wrap your arms around him, tucking your face into his neck as your love poured into his body through your small gesture.
George quickly responded, holding you tightly to his chest, answering only with physical touch, his love responding equally with the gesture.
Several days had passed, and boys had long since been back at their own homes with their significant others, leaving you cold and alone in your small apartment, actively missing all four of the lads.
It was pouring rain outside, matching your somber mood as you sat on your couch, a blanket covering your body like a large cape.
You heard a knock at your door, which was strange because you weren’t expecting anyone.
When you opened the door you found George, who was absolutely soaked to the bone.
“George? What are you—“ You began but were immediately cut off with a kiss on the lips.
Your body was in shock as you didn’t return the kiss, what had gotten into him?
He pulled away with a large grin on his face, running his cold hands up and down your arms excitedly.
“What was that for?” You asked, your lips still cool from his cold touch, though they were burning from the physical touch.
“Pattie and I are getting a divorce,” he answered, leaning forward to kiss all over your face and progressing to your neck, “so now I can kiss you and we don’t have to feel so guilty about it.”
Your eyes widened, not expecting that answer. You’d honestly thought George wouldn’t have the nerve to break it off with Pattie, at least for a couple more months.
“Oh!” You uttered in total surprise, not knowing how to react, you felt your stomach swarm with butterflies, George’s touch making your body feel heavy with lust.
“I just want to kiss you all over and show you how much I love you,” he murmured in your ear, his voice filled with lust and his breath hot as it fanned across your neck.
You sighed in content, your legs faltering for a moment as you fell into George, who’s touch was still comforting despite his clothes being completely soaked.
You regained some composure and cleared your throat. “I think we should get you out of those clothes, you’re absolutely soaked, George,” you said as you began to unbutton his suit jacket and peel it off his body.
He hummed in acknowledgment, not trusting his words as he let you strip him down to nothing except his briefs, which were sporting quite a large bulge.
“Are you cold?” You asked, rubbing your hands up and down his arms, “Would a shower warm you up?”
George’s mind went elsewhere at the thought of taking a shower with you, which he knew you weren’t offering, but he couldn’t help his wandering mind.
“George?” You asked again, looking for an answer, or any sign that he was even listening to you.
He nodded, trailing behind you as you led him to your small bathroom, leaving him one large brown towel.
“Just yell when you’re done, I’m going to try to find something for you to wear,” you said as you leaned forward to press a kiss against his aching lips.
“M’kay,” George answered as you turned on your heel to exit the bathroom door, leaving George and his thoughts.
You eventually found some clothes for him, namely a sweater you’d knicked off him several years ago and a pair of sweatpants you’d stolen from John.
After he’d come out of the shower and changed into some warm clothes, he immediately tackled you in a hug, causing you to lose your balance and fall to the ground, taking George with you.
He landed on top of you, a giggling mess as he pulled away to look into your eyes, “You alright, love?” He asked.
“More than alright,” you said as you pulled his face down and crashed your lips together.
Your tongues swirled in each others mouths, leaving no space between the two of you as you needingly pressed against each other, going at it like some horny teenagers.
You finally broke away from one another to take a large gasping breath, allowing George to pepper kisses down your neck, fluttering over your collarbone as he sucked and left small, dark love bites.
“George,” you gasped, arching your back to press yourself against him. “Need. More,” you whispered into his ear, causing his breath to falter for a moment.
“I can do that,” he murmured, his breath hot on your neck before he removed his body weight from you, causing you to whine.
“C’mon, love. We’re not doing this on the floor,” he said, pulling you up with him and hoisting you up into his arms, wrapping your legs around his waist.
You sighed in content once you were against him again, attacking his face with kisses before catching his lips in a passionate kiss.
He gently laid you on your bed, straddling your body as the two of you actively participated in the steamy make out session.
George’s hands roamed your body, blindly touching and squeezing anything he could get his hands on as he kept kissing you.
You pulled away to catch a breath and George dove his head down to kiss just above your breasts, while his hands were actively squeezing them through your thick sweater.
You were completely lost in the heated moment when you heard a knock at your door.
You immediately pushed George to the side, standing on shakey legs as you made your way to the door.
When you opened it, you weren’t sure who you were expecting, but it sure wasn’t John and Paul.
“‘Ello, love!” Paul said with a grin as he and John stood in your doorway, their shoulders damp but nowhere near as soaked to the bone as George had been just a short hour before.
“What are you lot doing here?” You asked, leaninf against the doorframe.
“Came to see our favourite lass, ain’t it obvious?” John said as he expertly dipped under your body and into your apartment.
“Hey! Did I say you could come in?” You asked as you spun around on your heels and grabbed John by the arm before he could find George.
John’s eyes were wide as he saw George in your bed, his eyes equally as wide, appearing as if he were a deer in headlights.
“Oh,” John simply stated, turning towards you. “Ye could’ve told us you were having an affair, wouldn’t’ave come in.”
“Not havin’ an affair,” George spoke from behind you, “Pattie and I are getting a divorce.”
You could almost see the relief fly out of John’s mouth as he let out a sigh, “Oh thank God, I thought we’d have a nice little issue to sort out with Brian,” he said, “c’mon, Paul, lets leave the honeymooners to be for another day.”
Paul only nodded, a smile present on his face as he patted you on the shoulder, “Happy for you,” he murmured before following John out the door of your apartment.
Once the door was shut, you turned to face George, your mouth open in shock, “Today has been the strangest day,” you whispered as you crawled into bed beside him.
“For you and me both, babe,” George murmured, pulling you to his chest and pressing a kiss just under your jaw, “let’s have a nice kip, yeah?” He asked.
“Mm, I like the sound of that,” you said softly, leaning into George’s touch and closing your eyes and drifting off into a peaceful sleep.
