What episode do you think has overall the best writing in the series?

I’m always torn between CLBG and SVS, which I think CLBG did the best job with the sanders sides formula- I think SVS’ writing is just really fantastic

What do you all think? Curious on people’s thoughts :)

POF is just so good, I feel like it's very unique in that it lets itself be upsetting and confusing sometimes. Even SVS and DWIT lean more comedy with occasional serious moments, but POF is complicated in a way that even most modern media doesn't let itself be. It doesn't tell you the life lesson you're supposed to get, it doesn't tell you who you're supposed to root for. It's very morally grey for sasi and I feel like it paved the way for all of the characters to be much more three dimensional.

While I’m still team maybe lavender perhaps that would be cool for logannnn :3 (that’s probably the analogical bias, and I don’t know too much about plants per say so if I did research maybe I’d find one I’d find more fitting)

I’m not fully onboard with the idea of him being a defensive plant like that per se as the best option IMO (and if you do like it or don’t too, that’s fine)

That being the take from Thomas though is very fascinating for me

I find it so interesting that touch-me-not's are a notable example of a plant capable of habitual learning, aka when an organism learns to not respond to irrelevant stimuli, in the case of touch-me-nots they learn to not fold their leaves when poked consistently.

Which I'm sure has no relevance to logan's character at all and is not indicative of his current character arc.

Maybe a hot take but I wish we got some more negative Virgil content in the fandom. NO WAIT I PROMISE IM GOING SOMEWHERE WITH THIS—

More Virgil spiraling. The overthinking, the criticism, the thoughts that keep Thomas up at night despite his best efforts to calm down. Virgil is a friend, he’s not the enemy and they don’t see him that way. Accepting him meant accepting that Thomas struggles with anxiety, it doesn’t make the struggles disappear.

Part of Virgil’s depth is that he’s not good or bad, he’s just a part of Thomas and it’s better to work with him than against him, and FAR better than working without him at all. But he’s still anxiety. Anxiety is hard to deal with, even when you have a good view of it, and that’s okay.

i firmly believe that one of the reasons tumblr latched onto project hail mary so hard is because we're all so obsessed with the dead wife trope lately and grace is his own dead wife. half of the book/film is grace experiencing a dead wife montage about himself and that's beautiful to me
