I must say! When you clip into shrines you can get some interesting shots...like some of these! It’s just fun, that’s all.

It’s quite different seeing shrines rise out of the ground and they’re not lit up or anything. In playing the game normally, you wouldn’t skip the first tower like I did here, and shrines that rise from the ground are glowing orange. These, of course, are not. It is especially funny to see the DLC shrines this way, as you are never meant to see them in their un-powered form.
So this is what happens when you talk to Kass at the nonexistent Gerudo Tower. I set up the moonjump glitch to get up to Kass’ level. Talking to him made both him and Link fall into the bottomless pit below, whereupon Link respawned at his last warp location (which is normal when moonjump is active) and I got the Sign of the Shadow shrine quest, even though Link voided before actually hearing it.
What is also very interesting is that this is the only tower that actually gets registered on your map if you’re doing a towerless run. I’m guessing that’s because its base is a void and the trigger for the game recognizing a new tower is in the air around it instead. This does not happen with any other nonexistent towers. You can even stand right where the tower would normally be and you won’t get anything. You’ll hear the tower music faintly, though.
An interesting thing about the three labyrinth shrines is that if you do not activate said shrine, the bars blocking your way do not get removed. Activating the shrine is what removes them, and what completes the shrine quest. So, in a completely towerless file, since shrines cannot be activated (without activating the Great Plateau tower, that is, which is the point of a towerless playthrough) those shrine quests will forever remain uncompleted, and the bars in place. Oh well.
