Here I met Kass on top of Gerudo Tower, and with the blood moon rising ominously into the sky...

Is the song written by Kass’ late teacher the Champions’ Ballad? He does seem to be working on something about every time you meet him, even in the DLC. At first I thought it might be the song he sings to you in Rito Village, but he said he wrote that one himself.

So this is what happens when you talk to Kass at the nonexistent Gerudo Tower. I set up the moonjump glitch to get up to Kass’ level. Talking to him made both him and Link fall into the bottomless pit below, whereupon Link respawned at his last warp location (which is normal when moonjump is active) and I got the Sign of the Shadow shrine quest, even though Link voided before actually hearing it.

What is also very interesting is that this is the only tower that actually gets registered on your map if you’re doing a towerless run. I’m guessing that’s because its base is a void and the trigger for the game recognizing a new tower is in the air around it instead. This does not happen with any other nonexistent towers. You can even stand right where the tower would normally be and you won’t get anything. You’ll hear the tower music faintly, though.

Made it all the way up Gerudo tower without solving a single damn puzzle!
