I'm bored
*This isn't bashing people who are like this I'm just pointing something out and I wanna do this with sam*
We have plenty bad fenton aus with them giving into character archetypes ignoring how they act and stuff or its simply is a scenario to fit the story
Why don't we have that with sam
Also why don't we explore sams apparent issue and what I'm assuming is similar to the real life indoctrination of feminine stuff makes you a bully or it makes people treat you less than because you happen to like something that's a stereotype or something that TV and people have made you assume you couldn't like it
How often have we seen female bullies wearing pink and being super girly
How often has feminine been characterized as weak and the strong characters with character arcs and development and such the opposite
Why do they think it's a bad thing and become strong once they deviate from it
Take sam for example, she's goth. Nothing wrong with that. Her mother has a different style than her and it can be argued that sam simply wants a different color scheme than her mother
Some people forgot that goths can be extremely feminine with beautiful outfits that sams mom would be fine with if it's appearance wise because the colors would be different and the style a bit off from here's but she can find something that matches the texture of her outfit and such if it's that much of a problem
Anyhoo yall have noticed that the girl bully in danny phantom is paulina who is often characterized as feminine. And that sam apparently hates "girly" things but wears make up and stuff that are normally girly and likes it when she finally stops caring. She simply hates what it represents to her and stuff.
There are plenty of things that taught some of us that the liking the color pink is bad and unprofessional and that you can't be badass and feminine which sucks because they aren't mutually exclusive.
Your outfit and interests don't make you a badass or strong your actions do
Anyhow back to sams parents
Let's give them the fenton treatment and make them act like the stereotypical rich parents and give sam no control over her life unless she's at school with the trio.
Let's make them dub her a problem child and made it so no one would trust her. Danny and tucker know the truth but she can't be out all of the time and they started bringing a change of clothes with them for her.
Let's give her a complex
Let's make her suffer like danny but only psychological because I'm curious how that would play out
Danny died because of her dare and while he doesnt blame her and it wasn't intentional it still happened
She needs to be horrified. And crash out or get worse in a way
Her personality is still there it's just dulled and started to shine through when she gets called out for wanting to control rverything and did something terrible. Or as the years go by and she slowly gaining the courage and decides that she is going to leave her family
Let's make her toxic
Let's make her try and get disowned
Let's make that her freedom when she finally cuts her hair and wears what she wasn't outside without her mother watching and picking it out for her.
Let her keep a garden in her home for her mental health and as the story goes on and she gets worse so does her garden
In this au or headcannon would her parents dictate who she hangs out with
Also I'm not bashing her character still love her and people like those are awesome but I can't be the only one who has noticed this pattern in media. I fell for it and I'm a scene kid who dressed goth half of the time.
Just why do women who wear pink and likes girly things get demonized by the media and the opposite girl is who you want to be. Not saying this is for everyone just something I've noticed in stories and such
But yea stereotypical rich parents with an only child whose slowly rebelling against them in small ways and has no control over her life except two saving graces and had the title as the problem child when she acts out accidently causes the death of one of them and then her issue on control and manipulative nature starts to show and slowly she gets worse over the years until she crashes out and eventually gets disowned and therefor freed form her family once and for all without being conditioned to care for certain things
Does sam come out liking pink?
No
She comes out as goth with choppy short hair
Let's make her parents keep it long
She starts out wearing what her mother wants her to in stereotypical rich parents with and only child would do
Dress her up like their ideal doll
Her character archetypes is slowly getting worse and being toxic to danny and tucker. Manipulative because their the only aspects of her life that she has control over. She wants to keep them close and prevent them from finding anyone else new. S
Make her worse. Until she becomes the girl we know. Free
We can have yandere sam. Stalker sam. Toxic like a beautiful flower sam. We can do this
To her parents she was raised to be perfect and In their image, they realize that she calls down when she's in nature so they give her a space to plant things. They soon take it away because they believe she spends too much time there and that it'll destroy her obedience. They do this several times to make a point. The parents are bad because it's psychological In this au
Pleeease
If their does exist please let me know I wanna read.
"Danny will make her better" danny would make her worse
Giving her someone who loves her in the way that she needs and he's contalbty hated and bullied and injured form multiple parties. Let her use her wealth and connections. Let her be toxic to danny and for him to not realize that sams doing this but tucker does. Yandere sam or extremely possessive sam. Protective sam maybe.
She doesn't have to kill anyone if that ain't your cup of tea
Just the family dynamics and sams mental health and complexes until she gets autonomy over her own body and gets disowned and welcomed in by others
