It wasn’t the first time Caius had been grabbed like that. 

It certainly wouldn’t be the last.

Disheveled and unkempt, but with a newfound life in his eyes that hadn’t been there the last time Jacques had seen the Garlean, he’d been skulking around the Mist. Perhaps he’d been looking for him, specifically. Or perhaps he’d simply been taking a walk to blow off some steam. At this point, Caius wasn’t even certain. He’d simply... needed to walk. Somewhere. Anywhere. When the crash of waves no longer served to occupy his mind, he’d sought shelter indoors.

What he was certain about, however, was that the sudden grapple caught him off guard. Exhaling a shaky breath, Caius slowly raised his hands in a gesture of surrender.

“Yeah?” Caius turned his head slightly to the side, trying to catch a glimpse of whoever had grabbed him through the fall of his hair. Someone he’d pissed off, perhaps? There seemed to be an abundance of them these days. “You’ve business with me, then?”

With a start Aki’ya turns towards the source of the voice, ears perking skyward in surprise as his bone jewelry nosily clinks together in his haste to stand. He stands as tall and protectively as he can before the small candle encircled design on the ground, the candles and blue willow wisps illuminating the darkened night around him. Curiously he tilts his head to the side, night black eyes studying the man before him. He seemed different than most he had met. Stranger than most strangers who wandered this far out past that one camp with the cursed city.

“So are these parts you’ve wandered so deeply into strangerrrrr,” he purrs out entertained, still protecting his circle and the view of it with his arms out stretched. “If you’re not carrrrreful you’ll be come a friend of ours like the otherrrrs. Why so deeply do you trespass?”. He smiles as he speaks, despite the threat that he’s making. The same threat he had made to others before that stumbled in to far.

Thank you for the prompt @thedarkestdragonknight! I’m still trying to figure a lot of things out for him so I hope this is a fun start to something! :D

Just wanted to say it was wonderful seeing you in Factory tonight! I hope you had a lot of fun and enjoyed it because it was all chaos and fun times! Here's to hoping we can get Tiergan those sexy boots of his! I was on Jacques in there, and I kept failing so many times. Sorry the local dergin was a bit drunk there tonight LOL even though his mun was not.

It was nice seeing you in Factory as well! And don’t worry, I was pretty much only surviving, because: 1) Zerah calling out things on voice. 2) Blessed healers preventing me from eating floor. 3) Tank defense. :V   Derping a little bit the first two or three weeks of a new raid being out is part of the experience I think.

Now he’d done it. Una’to was officially on a list of some kind after telling Jacques on him. He’d only wanted a quick nap before getting back to work, but once he’d woken up from his impromptu occupation of his ‘cousin’s’ couch, he quickly realized he was staring into the mismatched turquoise and orange eyes of a certain worried Au Ra. A short while later he now found himself forcefully escorted back to the house in the Mists, Jacques following closely behind as he tiredly staggered up the stairs.

“Jacques, please, it’s just been busy at the guild! We’re swamped with orders, I can’t take any time off right now.” Sebha’to couldn’t see them, but he could certainly feel the heavy and dark bags under his eyes. His body was still aching and his mind was begging, pleading for him to go back to sleep, but he knew he couldn’t, no matter how much his sluggish movements and poorly stifled yawns betrayed him.

“I’m taking care of myself, I’m not even sick! I’ve been eating regularly and I -just- slept!” His pleas most likely fell on deaf ears, but he had to try nonetheless.

*fans self* Hnnnnnnng can I just say how wonderfully delightful it is when I see Kylvaar on my dash? Not only is he simply stunning and gorgeous but he's got such a beautiful aesthetic going as well! I had to share a compliment because he's just so well designed (Also I am a sucker for heels, those horns and them lovely hands of his >> hnnnnnnng) *skitters off back off to hide behind her dergin man now since she's a shy bean*

Thank you so much! I am happy that Kylvaar gives you delight, he’s a rather interesting character who tip toes on the line of good and evil. And his aesthetics are a… Haha… A wonder~And trust me, I had this idea for a dragon (literal one) or in some concept of being as such and he’s just that! He has secrets he will not spill about himself and it makes me bubble inside because I want to say so much!But again, I’m glad he brings you a bit of joy seeing that devious grin. :D

The young halfbreed had found himself in the area of Anyx Trine, he'd been told to come there since it could lead to some form of protection from... well he didn't want to think about that. Sighing out Faust just crossed his arms in front of him before staring up at the tower... he saw a few dragons flying above, watching him carefully as he stood there in his knight's armor. No doubt wary because of it, though they had nothing to worry about. (I such at starters so... *FLEES*)

We have a visitor in seek of succor, though his ilk often not comes to this part of the world. He is far from home.

Midgard’s seemingly unwarranted narration quietly hummed around the Elezen’s long ears. It wasn’t often the small dragon spoke and Neena had to admit that the rare times he did was a delight. There wasn’t much the dragon couldn’t soothe with the way his voice echoed daintily through the air. However, to have someone come to Anyx Trine for refuge was something she had never heard before. Aymeric had certainly been interested in restoring what housing used to be in the area, but Ishgard had very little resources to rebuild itself, much less historic ruins that basically needed to be rebuilt from the ground up. So who would even have the gall to come there and look for a place to stay? It hardly looked hospitable, especially with all the dragons flying around and watching.  

Her curiosity was piqued to say the least, and Neena found herself leaving the company of one of the older dragons and making her way to the aetheryte at the bottom of the tower. When she emerged, she spied a young Xeala standing there, arms crossed and decked out in knight’s armor. He didn’t look like some weary soul, but someone who was ready to do battle. She frowned at the thought of some green-eared adventurer coming to try and fight dragons under the pretense they were part of Nidhogg’s brood.

“I’m afraid if you’ve come to try your hand at fighting dragons, you’ve come to the wrong place.”

💣 Name one dangerous experience they survived. (For Nasius! And also Arjeant)

Athanasius… well, that’s both an easy one and a hard one to answer.  He’s a soldier, he’s survived the constant warring as a result of the Garlean Empire’s expansion.  To make matters worse, he’s a front-line foot soldier that’s known for losing control of himself in the heat of battle, channeling dark-aspected aether with absolutely no training due to the lack of magical ability from full-blooded Garleans.  That he’s able to channel it without completely warping his mind and body is nothing short of a miracle, and he doesn’t know the reason behind it.

 The difficult part would be narrowing it down to one experience. He’s lived through ambushes, sabotaged machina, poisoned rations,midnight attacks, the works.  I suppose one could arguably count his tine living on his own when he wandered off from the war and forgot where he was, as he spent months on end wearing his armor without bathing or removing it, drinking from whatever water source he could find and eating whatever he could forage or hunt based on instinct alone.  That he didn’t poison himself or end up with worse injuries than he did by the time he was found and cleaned up is a miracle in itself.

As for Arjeant, he lived in the Brume as a child, and from a young age he was prone to experiencing disturbed sleep and bizarre fugue states where he was seemingly living out another person’s life and identity.  Given Ishgard’s tendency to accuse others of heresy with considerable frequency during the duration of the Dragonsong War, having such mental disturbances could easily have been met with distrust. Thankfully one of the women overseeing the orphanage realized this and had him smuggled out of Ishgard; he might not have survived into adulthood otherwise.
