Modern glam/hair/sleaze/hard rock/metal

A list for everyone that wishes 80s and early 90s rock never got out of style!

This is in no way a comprehensive list, I’ll just be listing off the bands that I know of and I’ll probably forget some too. If you know bands that fit the style, please include them below so we can share even more cool music

Crashdiet - swedish sleaze, very similar style as Skid Row, they went through a bunch of singers so maybe if you don’t like one of them you should check the others. They also used to be my fav band for years so hmu if you wanna know more lol

Santa Cruz - Finns, they mix the signature 80s style with metalcore elements which is actually really good. Unfortunately all but the singer left the band last year and now the singer has assembled a new line up. You might like the new stuff but boy that guy does need to work through some problems

Reckless Love - finnish glam, more along the lines of Poison, less aggression and edge than some others on the list. The singer used to be with Crashdiet for one album btw

Vains of Jenna - swedish hard rock, amazing rough vocals, unfortunately the singer left the band in like 2010 and they changed style completely and broke up soon after. Still worth checking out tho

Cruel Intentions - new band of the ex-Vains of Jenna singer, great stuff, similar style as old VoJ

Airbourne - basically modern AC/DC. They’re even from Australia too. Check them out if you’re into that kinda stuff

Hardcore Superstar - swedes, nice upbeat stuff, they also have great concerts, on the less aggressive and more partying side of the spectrum here

Crazy Lixx - swedish glam metal, these guys could easily fall into 80s and no one would notice

Sister - swedish hard rock, a bit edgier than the rest here, very rough vocals also cool goth aesthetic

Toxicrose - heavier and darker swedish glam with goth vibes, the vocals sometimes edge into more heavy/power metal territory. I’ll be real, I wasn’t sure whether to include them since they’re barely glam anymore but they’re still good lol

Steel Panther - american comedy band, they are the embodiment of all the absurdity of the glam scene, music can be good but both their strength and weakness is in the lyrics which are sometimes funny and always crude but there's only so many sex jokes you can cram into one song and these guys always exceed that amount
