Highlight on Hailie Deegan

               Toyota of Clermont is proud to announce that the winner of the NASCAR K&N Pro Series this past September is 17-year-old Hailie Deegan. Deegan’s popularity has increased since this win and has been a big deal because of her age, as well as the fact that she is defeating societal gender roles. But why else would a Clermont Toyota customer be interested in this news? It’s because the winning vehicle Deegan used was a Toyota Camry! Here at Toyota of Clermont, we take pride in the potential our vehicles have; and we hope that when our customers think of Deegan’s win—they don’t just think that our vehicles are NASCAR-worthy, but that they offer wisdom and accomplishment. Wondering how such a young racer made it big in the NASCAR world? Here are some highlights of how Deegan prepares.

               According to sources, it took Deegan only an hour to practice her winning move. There is no doubt that NASCAR racing has been in her blood. She actually started off as an off-roading racer. Did you know that Hailie Deegan is the daughter of motocross superstar Brian Deegan? Hailie had taken an interest in this world since she was 8 years old. Her dad noticed her passion so he made an oval dirt path in their back yard for her to practice. Clermont customers should take note if their little one takes an interest in this sport! It’s dangerous and having them drive your Clermont Toyota—especially without a license is illegal. So creating a track in the back yard will be your best bet.

               Besides being the latest NASCAR master, Deegan is involved with the Toyota Driver Development program. The purpose of this program is to help young drivers establish themselves in the field in order to advance in their careers. Other NASCAR Champions like Erik Jones and Christopher Bell are actually former members of the development program.
