it’s been two days since i listened to “juno steel and the monster’s reflection” and i have not stopped thinking about it since.

like… people are just people. even when you don’t want them to be. even when it would be easier if they were monsters, easier if they were just evil. you have to make the choice every day to not make the same mistakes your mother did. you have to make the choice every day to see past her in your reflection. and you have to make the choice to see that she felt and loved and hurt on accident and on purpose just like you do because she was human and then you still don’t have to forgive her. you can see that your mother loved you and that still doesn’t make it okay.

My Spotify wrapped came out! This is the one that’s the most notable. I did the math - over 15 days spent listening to this podcast in total. Considering most of my media consumption this year was Penumbra, I’m not surprised it was on top, but I am surprised that I was in the top 0.1%. Maybe I’m a little proud of myself. That’s wild. Anyone else get this message??

ok im only on s2 of the penumbra podcast but like MMM 💥💥💥 i can't speak for second citadel bc i haven't started listening to that yet 💀💀 but with juno steel- im just so in love with and fascinated by the way s1 and s2 are so different. like the vibes are just DIFFERENT but like i love it ?? s1 is just like setting things up and introducing the characters and stuff and juno himself is like- VERY sarcastic with like deadpan humour but s2 is just 💥💥‼️I JUST LOVEE IT ??? you get to know the characters so much more, mostly juno but just like- even the side characters i just feel like they're more fleshed out and memorable, the stakes feel higher and like im just loving it so much more ? there's so much more depth, especially in the monster's reflection (iykyk). and like juno himself- i mean he's still witty and sarcastic but like you can tell that he's changed. what's happened to him and what he faces in s2 has changed him, but for the better and you can literally see it- or rather, HEAR it in his voice, in his monologues, you can tell he thinks and seems more hopeful and upbeat and more open about how grateful he is for the people in his life, like rita. i haven't finished s2 yet- still got like 2 and a bit eps left but yeah- in short i just LOVE this podcast sm 😭‼️more specifically, juno steel and his storyline- i don't think ill ever be as enamoured with second citadel as much as with him, but im okay with that 🙏 im just really really enjoying him and his storyline, his and everyone else's character development and the depth of it so, so much lol, just wanted to share it <3
