My Random Thoughts On Tracer’s Butt Pose

Tracer’s old butt pose:

Boring.

She looks expressionless and uncomfortable in that stance and it looks artificial like she’s a weird sex doll.

Butt looks fuckin’ weird anyway.

The camera angle is like right on her ass which is really weird and creepy.

Tracer’s new butt pose:

Funny/playful/sassy posing and expression!

Butt is more accentuated which is still tacky and needless sexualization but it’s more natural looking.

Camera angle is more natural and no longer makes this viewer feel like a tiny pervert.

You might say that this pose is...CHEEKY!

Like they made it so it’s still sexualized and that’s (eyeroll) but at least she looks like she’s having some fun. It’s like she’s showing us her butt in a mocking way rather than having it look like someone else posed her like a doll. Obviously all fictional characters don’t have autonomy and it’s still somebody in an office who’s probably a dude deciding what she should do but at least this gives her the illusion of being a real person with a mind of her own, which is what good writing and good animation and character creation are supposed to do. I feel like she’s “real” in a way and that she’s really neat. I feel like the little kid in the first Overwatch trailer who thinks she’s awesome. When I saw her in that other pose I just felt vaguely uncomfortable.

It’s still kinda embarrassing that she’s wearing a bodysuit that looks so tight that you could probably see a mole through it and that none of the male characters seem to get the same treatment but like at least it kinda works with the idea that she’s fun and flashy and athletic. Like I wish Blizzard would grow up a bit faster but this is at least a baby step in the right direction.

TL;DR - I don’t care and will do as I please. Shut the hell up thank you.

Long version: Because some of my game’s characters were created back when I was a perverted 12-14 year old, some of them retain some sexualized features. However, as these are MY characters in MY game, the only one with the right to tell me what I should do with them is ME.

I just don’t get why we can’t simply let a butt be a butt, rather than turning it into an excuse to throw around pointless controversy. FFS You wrap a butt in spandex, tight leather or even latex, and no matter what you do, or how you pose it, it’s gonna look exaggerated. Because tight fitting clothes axiomatically translate to curves and volumes being shown.

Also, bitching about a characters shrink-wrapped ass being too sexy is BODY SHAMING. So long as it’s still within ESRB guidelines for the game’s rating, there’s NO REASON to complain. It’s the same with Samus in OtherM and fucking Chun Lee in street fighter. Their NOT unrealistic (And Samus was literally a STRIP TEASE character in the first game). I can give you photo evidence that there are REAL women with thighs like Lee’s, so don’t even TRY to argue with me on that one.

It just annoys me to no end that people can’t simply accept a design for what it is and look past the physical. In response to this, I just might bring back the intentionally sexual designs of a few of my races for the soul purpose of dicking with everybody. Anyone who sees my game as nothing more than interactive smut will miss out on the story, and probably the actual gameplay too, and for all I care, that’ll be instant karma. Never judge a book by it’s cover, or a tracer by her butt. 

Either way, I’m gonna do as I please because I’m mostly making this game for me. The fact that I intend to let everybody else play it is simply me being eager to share my story and characters, and show off my skills.

I’m rolling my eyes so hard at the Overwatch community.

I was actually planning on holding out for a sale after the game had been out for a while, but I prepurchased the Origins Edition today just to spite these morons whining about censorship and SJWs and “If this is all it takes to get something changed then you have no INTEGRITY!”

The Overwatch team has made it clear for a long time that this has been something they’re keeping in mind while developing the game. You think they’ve been strong-armed into pandering to feminists? PUH-LEAZE. Guess who is the much more rabidly vocal majority. Oh, right, it’s you idiots that get buttmad about one less instance of the over-emphasized rumps that are all over this game! You honestly think they were shaking in their boots and felt forced to change something in their game because of ONE user posting ONE thread on the beta forums?

Talk about being disingenuous. It’s Gamergate all over again. Hey, guys, I’m glad you canceled your preorder. The less of your kind in this community, the better.

That I’m posting this on Tumblr has not been lost on me.
