Great weekend!
This weekend was such a great weekend. It was one of the better weekends I've had so far this quarter.
Friday: Had class at 9 and then picked up my check after class. Had class again at 12-2 and then had my internship from 2-6pm. Around 7 something I went with a couple of my friends to watch the international volleyball game at CSULB in their pyramid gym! I got to watch the last two sets of Canada vs. Puerto Rico and the USA vs. Cuba game. It was so crazy. The players are such beasts! Especially Matt Anderson on the USA team. Their libero is super buff too! Went out to eat afterwards at Jack in the Box. I was supposed to go to a kickback with the other interns but I wanted to sleep since it was already 1.
Saturday: Had to wake up at 6 because I had to be at the track meet finals by 7am. So I was only running on 5 hours of sleep. Helped set up everything for the track meet but then the trainer wanted me to supervise the basketball clinic back in Crawford Court since the person who was supposed to be there didn't show up. So I stayed there for 2 hours just watching little kids learn how to play basketball. Once that was done and all cleaned up, I went back to the track meet to help for another hour. They ended up giving us free sandwiches for lunch. I finished at 12:30 and left. Around 1 or 2, my friend, Chris picked me up to play beach volleyball at Corona Del Mar. We met up with Joe and a couple of other people who play volleyball and played. It is so tough getting used to playing in the sand, especially since that was the first time I actually played beach. It was super windy too, but it was fun. Came back and hung out with my hallmates for a bit and watched X-men with Tat, my hallmate late at night. I ended up knocking out during the movie, then just went to sleep at 2 something.
Sunday: I woke up at 9:30 cause I had to pee but I went back to sleep and got back up at 10:30. Called my mom to wish her a happy mother's day since I couldn't go home this weekend. Worked on homework and I actually finished a lot of it so I decided to go biking. I wanted to go to the thrift store in Costa Mesa so I got the directions and went with Tat. We kind of got lost on the way there so it took longer to get there than we expected. It turns out the thrift store was closed since it's Sunday. I completely forgot. So we just went to the gas station next door and got ice cream and then headed back. It was a lot of fun though. I'm definitely going to bike there again this upcoming Saturday. I got a sunglasses/spandex tan though.
This was a pretty productive and eventful weekend. Hopefully next weekend will be great too since there's Spring Formal on Friday and I have a baseball event to be at on Sunday.
