Sambar (Dd Style)
Sauté the veggies you want in your sambar. Keep aside.
Cook Toor Dal, keep aside.
Take your final product sambar bowl..
Add water up to 1.5 cups, add tamarind paste, salt, haldi, jaggery, sambar powder and let it just start boiling.
Then add the sautéed veggies and let it boil again.
Then add cooked dal, one final boil.
Check for salt.
Add tadka as a last step.
