As some of you may already know, the Warriors Amino is home to several creative clans that each week/month create posts based upon a given prompt from the leadership team. Each clan focuses on something different, some focus more on artwork while others are about written assignments but overall all the clans have to do with warrior cats. The piece above was created for a clan called Alterclan. Alterclan focuses on alternative timelines and prompts that follow the format of ‘What if’ the books were written differently? The prompt that this assignment is about is ‘What if Fireheart saved Yellowfang instead of Bramblekit?’ Any number of things could have been depicted. For instance, who would be leader instead of Bramblestar? Who would Squirrelflight end up with? How would the absence of Alderheart & Sparkpelt have affected the story? How would the medicine cat timeline have ended up? Would Leafpool still run away with Crowfeather with Yellowfang there? But this artist decided to draw something relating to the role Yellowfang would play in Squirrelflight & Leafpool’s lives. This artist believes that Yellowfang would have played a grandmother type role to Squirrelflight & Leafpool. She would act like she hated them but would truly love spending time with them. This artist thinks Yellowfang would be Firestar’s most trusted advisor and act as a mediator for Thunderclan. The artist theorizes that another Thunderclan cat would have been chosen to go to the sun-drown place and that any cat could have taken up the authority role Brambleclaw did. Even though Sparkpelt & Alderheart would not have been born, this artist thinks that Squirrelflight could have learned to love another and the prophecy could resume. The three would still be born in this timeline as nothing would have happened to Crowfeather. This artist thinks Squirrelflight would have taken over the leadership position and become Squirrelstar. This is honestly a very interesting take on the story! I love the idea of Squirrelstar and I feel as though it could have been interesting if Squirrelflight had been the one to run away with Crowfeather and had given birth to the three. But, I want to know your thoughts. How do you think the story would have been affected if Bramblestar had been killed early on? Who would be Squirrelflight’s mate? How would the prophecy play out?
