Christmas Special: Paraletic Universe Records
Christmas is almost over, I'm just sitting here to find something to do after two days of heavy eating. Hope you guys had as nice Christmas as me or even better.
PARALETIC UNIVERSE RECORDS
It all started in 2009 when DJ Sokol was already working in his small bedroom studio where he would invite hip-hop heads and DJs he knew and would have sessions where they make beats and scratch and started to write some raps. Throughout that time and with a little bit of help from DJ Blaze he met people like OneOZ, Elmi Tha Moshi, Konda, and so on. That's when he decided to form the label under the name Paraletic Universe Records.
Soon after it began to take off. Sokol with help of his friends built some kind of fan base and started to make contacts. This is when he met Tragic Pro who is also a DJ and producer. This record label isn't just like every other one in Edinburgh or even Scotland. It connects two cultures and makes music on two fronts. It's because they work with local, Scottish artists and also Polish artists that have come over here. The artists that work with P.U.R are: OneOZ, Elmi Tha Moshi, Sean El which I would call a Scottish Division. There is also a Polish Division which includes Mr. P, Lechu, Tragic Pro and DJ Sokol himself who also raps. These are the artists that officially work with the label but there are few unsigned artists that release their music through Paraletic Universe Records. Silvertongue, OneTzu and a lot more are associated with the record label.
Over past years they have released a lot of projects, some of them are free and some of them are not. All links are given below. They also have their own hip-hop night called Dirty District at the bar Steamie, which has quite bit of history of migrating from place to place but all of that for the better! They are still involved with a lot of local events such as Spectrum Cyphers, TMFC Sketch & Rhyme, Terror or just one-off events like supporting Jeer Da Damaja, Souls of Mischief, Masta Ace or Action Bronson.
Soon Paraletic Universe will be releasing more projects. One of the major upcoming projects will have the P.U.R artists on the record and also Brooklyn's very own Ruste Juxx from Duck Down Records. OneOZ is working on his EP right now and so is Mr. P, who is close to releasing an album as well.
As I mentioned before they had some projects released over the past year so here we go!

SOME NEW MUSIC!
HEY Y'ALL!
Haven't updated the blog for a while but mainly because a lot of shit going on with college, personal life and also spending my SAAS money on booze and sneakers.
ANYWAYS!
What happened over past two weeks. Well, let me start with the sepctrum Cyphers and the Beat Competition that did not take place for SECOND time. If you announce an event at least make people want to do it not just dump them... ehh.
After that Dirty DISTRICT! (@STEAMIE) dope party with good people and great music. It's every week, you can sit down chat to people with a pint of cold beer and stuff yourself with some nachos and listen to good raps. It's a great place to network so if you're an artist, producer or a DJ I suggest you to hit up that place and everyone over there is friendly!
Now, let's get to some new music!

We got some Prophetic Justice (AyeQ and Thomson). Produced by them, written by them and cuts by DJ SOKOL. Now, I know AyeQ for quite a while now and he knows his shit and by releasing this track he prooved that he can spit well so did The Impact of Buddah (Thomson). Good bars lads, keep it going!

This one is from Edinburgh's duo Onetzu & Teknique. Now these two guys are on the come-up but trust me the love they get is unreal. On top of that we got Sean El with Onetzu on production which actually fits the bars they spit. Apparently there's gonna be an EP by Onetzu out soon!

Some new joint from Tragic Pro. Few weeks ago I did a review for his music video and this time we got brand new fresh track. You can just sit down and chill and smoke a.. cigarette. You can catch him playing some tunes at Dirty District!

NOW THAT'S A COOL VIDEO!
Tragic Pro is another very talented producer/DJ from Edinburgh. I had a chance to attend few events where he was performing and it was dope. Really hard to say what his style is because it's different each time he releases something (according to me) but I think he is on the line of trip-hop and some kind of D'N'B.
Anyways, let's talk about the video which is sick.. literally sick. I find it really artistic at the same time, but I would not show this video to any women who like little furry animals because it doesn't end well for them in this video. As much as I hate snakes I enjoyed watching this video but then it made me think WHO IS THAT CRUEL DIRECTOR!? well it's just FreakyMoneySequence with another dope video.
