Hi everyone, Alex Martin - founder of Experience Daliona & Sidewalk Science Center here. June 12th marks an important day for me: this year marks 17 years since I began writing science fiction novels. Because of them, I went on to create Sidewalk Science Center in July 2018 after a long series of events: growing up, college, and even moving a thousand miles from home.
To celebrate June 12th, I try to engage in community service outside of Sidewalk Science Center, usually by doing a community or park cleanup. As we work to implement this into a company program in the next few years, I want to extend this to a full week leading up to June 12th, and I want to invite you to engage with me.
The challenge: next time you're on a walk, or a hike, take a bag and pair of gloves with you, and pick up trash you come across. Take pictures of yourself, your kids or friends, then send them our way, and we'll post them to celebrate, help others, and in the coming years, learn about environmental conservation and alternatives to everyday products & habits, as well as impacts our societies have on Earth and its wildlife & ecosystems.
Thank you for your continued support through the years, and keep an eye out for our upcoming programs! You can also hire us for a private event at www.experiencedaliona.com/hire-us, or purchase our science kits and my sci-fi books at www.experiencedaliona.com/online-store
We have a future to create.
To all our endeavors,
Alex
