Woman’s best friend. <3
Made it to the fire lookout station on top of Raspberry Ridge!
I love him so so much. <3
For the next couple of weeks I will be posting pictures of my Mount Willingdon trip with my dog Teeko. We went on a three day backpacking trip last August with the objective of summitting Mt Willingdon, which is located in Banff National Park, Alberta, and has an elevation of over 11,000 ft. The first photo shows the valley we crossed on the way to Mt Willingdon and the third photo was taken partway up Mt Willingdon and shows the summit. For anyone interested, I included a map showing approximately what ground we covered each day. Day 1 (yellow) - hiked along Mosquito Creek Trail, branched off to climb up and over Quartzite Col, and crossed the valley to arrive at the Devon Lakes camping area near the base of Mt Willingdon. Day 2 (red) - attempted to summit Mt Willingdon, descended and packed up camp, then travelled southeast through the valley and across Pipestone Pass. Day 3 (purple) - travelled along Pipestone River Valley and then up to Fish Lakes, crossed North Molar Pass, and then met back up with Mosquito Creek Trail and arrived back at the trailhead.
