How old is this boy supposed to be
Or any brains at all really
My family so copied the plot of this episode in one of their Xmas specials
The kids disappeared

One of the only actual Lucas/Topanga parallels I know of, which is really odd when you think about it.
Seriously, if he's "the Topanga" he ought to be paralleling Topanga a LOT more than he does. But he doesn't. We just made assumptions because we believed Riley was "the Cory" and Maya was "the Shawn" and Farkle wasn't anything but a comic relief geek whose feelings "didn't matter."
But so far, Lucas actually parallels Cory the most...and not even with Riley as Topanga—just with the stuff in class with Zay. And occasionally with Maya, most notably in C&T.
You can't even count the subway kiss as paralleling the locker kiss, because Lucas wasn't resisting and he wasn't all freaked out afterward like Cory was when Topanga kissed him. (Or Riley when Farkle kissed her, which the writers have basically confirmed as the *actual* locker kiss parallel. And it happened in GM the TRUTH, no less. 😂)
And even "the Cory" liking him isn't really a parallel because Cory didn't "like" Topanga in any way he was aware of back in middle school. He pretty mercilessly mocked her almost as much as he mocked Minkus.
And the whole "I always wanna be able to talk to you" thing doesn't really work either, because Riley's (a) lying about her motives and (b) she's not doing it because she's worried about her feelings changing and not caring about him anymore. Her motivations are nothing like the motivations behind "I always want to care about you as much as I do now." She's literally lying because she thinks she has to step back out of obligation to Maya and the brother thing is her excuse to keep Lucas in her life in some special way because what she thinks she feels HAS NOT changed.
This subway parallel is pretty pure though, aside from the obvious difference between Lucas's relationship with/feelings about Maya vs Topanga and Eric. And this isn't Topanga sacrificing her VERY FIRST DATE with Cory for Eric, the way Lucas sacrificed his first date with Riley for Maya. But other than that, it's very very close.
Any other Lucas/Topanga parallels, brain trust?
Watching a Boy Meets World episode, and I've just spotted a young Charisma Carpenter!
